Looks like we got the same car, almost the same price too. (beat ya!) lol. Nah you still got a good price. First dealership was offering +500 on invoice which I wouldve taken if they didn't lie n treat me poorly. Knew I could get invoice at the other dealership so I walked out n did.

got my pearl white 09 370z with persimmon!

Model: Touring 6 speed
Color: Pearl white
Transmission: Manual
Options: b95, p93, l92, t94
Price: 30513.78 with tax tags and license included after trading in my civic SI
and buying the rest in full. (title in my name!!! woooot!!!)

Incredible story, after weeks of research and talking around, finally a kind guy actually told me the place where this rare pearl white with persimmon was located, it was actually about 35 miles away from where im at in maryland, (dealership was on virginia border).

I meet the salesman at 1:50 pm and started talking at 2 pm. I ended up leaving the dealership at 7pm, after 5 hours of hell and amazement.

i am pretty bad at negotiating but i tried my best and i dunno if i got the best deal, this is what happened, they wanted 36k out the door, and i kindly said no, and they asked about my 2000 civic si. they wanted 4k, i kindly said no and stood up knewing it was a no go, and then he got the manager and some finance guru, I work for State Farm so i know a bit about insurance so i gave them my 2 cents about MSRP and invoice crap.

Long story short on the negotiating part, they finally decided to give 6k for my car and then 30k with TTL all included out the door after me countering every single pricing and I even mentioned how people were getting theirs at invoice or sometimes below invoice on this site!!! the salesman was sooo upset he didnt even shake my hand and wouldnt talk to me after we were finished around 4. the manager had to actually tell him to calm down and relax, i couldnt believe it. did i really win? so for the rest of the 3 hours i was with this other guy from the finance dept, who was reallll chill and cool, and we were talking about poker and blackjack until i got my papers. i cant believe i got this great deal.

btw, so i had put down 20k cash and my borrowed is 10k on a PERSONAL loan at 11.25% lowest it can go for my bank (keep in mind it is a PERSONAL unsecured loan) and ill tell u why i wanted this.

an auto loan is basically financing, therefore there will be a lienholder, therefore, the vehicle is NOT technically owned by the owner until the balance is paid off, and i was well aware of that. whats the difference?
lienholders always ALWAYS require full coverage, which means collision and comp at least 500 deductible. which means higher premiums than if it were in your title and can do whatever you want.

i had quoted myself and if i went with the title under my name, i can pretty much set my own coverages, for 6 months at 378.(yes, 63 dollars and change a month, and yes, lower than geico, i cant believe that either) with comprehensive at 100 ded and no collision coverage. and 25/50/25 bi/pd accordingly. yeah i know its meager but i drive great and never been in a collision (knock on wood) and ONLY for pleasure use!

anyways, the unsecured loan for 60 months makes my payments 219 a month!!!!! WOOOT!!!! and i know ill be paying wayyy over 219, to pay off that crazy interest.
i am one happy asian.. and i wont rice this one out at all.

specs: Touring base no navi
all options splash guards, floor mats, trunk mats, kick plates, kick petals.
MSRP 36315. ^_^

Only difference with your loan is they have a lien on your *** instead, and if you total that car with no insurance, guess what? You'll be paying that for a little while, for nothing. Oops...

IMHO? You're crazy to not have collision on it. You just throw 20G's down on the car and you cant afford maybe another $50-60 a month to cover your ***?

From the invoice pricing thread:
Touring Model 6 speed manual
MSRP $34,460
Invoice $31,919

That means your invoice price (assuming you didnt get the Aero package?) was $32386.

What was your pre-TTL price? Somewhere around 28500 or so? That means you actually paid 34500ish for this car - AKA, 2K above invoice.

2009 370Z
Chicane Yellow
W/ Sport pkg. (illuminated kick plate, all mats)
has added on leather interior
manual
$33,390

FYI if you're shopping:
I got the guys at Alhambra Nissan to fight for my sale...got them down to $32,500 for the same car, but cloth seats. They have awful customer service so I went elsewhere and the leather add on is really nice!

He's got 20k$ of his own money and a 10k$ loan to pay off. To each their own. I've been through the whole ACV on total'ing a car. Gap insurance took care of the rest.
Personally, I wouldn't have 20k$ cash sitting in the driveway with no way of getting it back out if the idiots decide to come out and play.
