From Base to Sport Tech

I originally owned a 2013 370Z Base package (Gray) and traded it in last month for a 2015 Sport Tech package (Black). The 2013 had 50,000 miles and needed a new clutch. I've owned two Firebirds and two Camaros- all manual transmissions and never had a clutch problem. I hope the 2015 does better.

Your new 2015 has Synchro Rev Matching because it's got the Sport package. Assuming you actually use it, that will save a little bit of wear and tear on your clutch on sloppy downshifts.

Yep, I originally thought that I'd turn the SRM off and never use it, but I can tell a difference and actually have come to like it a lot. I leave it on all of time now.

I was the same way, the first few days I turned SRM off because I didn't like the engine revving for me like it did, seemed like it was over-revving unnecessarily. Once I understood the logic behind SRM, I discovered that it was just my (bad) habit with the shifter, taking it out of gear and wiggling it to make sure I'm in neutral. So it's teaching me good habits with the manual as well.
