Brought my new Z home saturday
I bought a new Z, pearl white,Touring and Sport package on saturday. I love it! Just a few questions. I went with the salesperson to fill it up and she tried to put regular gas in the tank. I pointed out that the car requires premium and she put premium in it. Looking through the manual I notice it says premium is 'recommended'. Would midgrade be acceptable on occasion or should I stick with premium for fuel economy and performance? Thanks!

Use premium only and if you can find it without 10% ethanol you will be way ahead of the game. Hope you see 7.5k rpm's soon, it's amazing.

Welcome and Congrats! any question you have on basic things may have already been asked, so search in the appropriate section or use the search function and if you need to post a question we're here to help. as for your question use premium gas, if your in a pinch the mid grade is not going to hurt the motor. like it's reads it's recommended versus premium only. have a good time and enjoy your Z.

Congrats on the new ride, best color IMO! And as everyone else already stated, Premium only!
I know gas ain't cheap nowadays, but neither is the Z. I put Chevron Premium everytime. |
