It was drivers fault for speeding on a city street where hard stuff (poles and trees) , cars, unpredictable road surfaces etc exist. Streets are not race tracks. And people learn this hard lesson too quickly all the time everyday with loss of their lives and others who they take with them.

This isn't any more or less tragic than other fatal street racing crashes. We can grieve for families and close friends and offer condolences but bottom line the deaths in this case were due to criminal street racing by driver of the car. Many People truly don't respect physics and what can happen on public roads when they push a car to its limits.

This focus on mechanical issue glosses over fact that mr rodas was putting all around him in danger when he decided to speed.on this public street. When you hit solid stuff fast cars and people don't fair well. Gas tanks rupture fires start, cars crumple like tin foil, people die, etc when you hit hard stuff.

you have good point on road condition, this is the picture of street it happened, you will see alot of those metal bumps ( not sure what they call them) those things can mess you up when you turn on high speed,i wonder if he hit few of them on the corner and since they are slick they throw the car out of control..

Ryan Dunn was shitfaced and wadded up a GT3, not a Carrera GT. He killed his friend driving drunk. Paul Walker's friend killed him driving recklessly, not drunk.

Either way, two people lost their lives because of the poor decision making of others.

Who ever claims not having any sympathy or sorrow for the man behind the wheel must be confused. Both these individuals derserve equal sympathy. EVERYBODY on here has driven "recklessly". Accidents happen. They don't change the fact that both these human biengs or in this case the DRIVER was a good man. Rip to roger and Paul.

Well, I'm sincerely very sorry for everyone's loss.

I can only imagine how devastated everyone will be when Rob Cohen, Gary Scott Thompson, Erik Bergquist, or David Ayer eventually pass.

Vince: Yo Dom! Why'd you bring the buster here?

Dom: Because the buster kept me out of handcuffs, he didn't just run back to the fort, the buster brought me back

Bottom line types of speed these guys were doing to rip car apart was not acceptable for street. I feel sorrow for them and their families but hey man they made bad decision. If I biff it doing 100 on street I don't expect sorrow from people who don't know me personally. People would be free to call me an idiot. So why is Mr Rodas off limits? He was just another guy making stupid move on street. FYI I never speed excessively with passengers. ...Never. I have seen north of 150 mph on deserted road by myself with miles of visibility with no traffic but let's say I had blow out and rolled. I'd just be another asswad driving way to fast on the street.

I hear about all the emotional denials of drag racing but you don't have to drag race to be dangerous on surface streets. I suspect they will find that car was moving way too fast and just got away from driver. The debris spray seen in pics indicates very fast speeds. I feel sorry for Paul as I believe he wouldn't have put someone in danger like mr rodas did. And fact he had teenage daughter is tough too. Feel very bad for her.

Also consider if mr rodas had survived and Paul died I suspect manslaughter charges or wrongful death suit would have happened.

Mr Walkers estate and his daughter CAN sue the estate of Rodas for wrongful death.......just like the Bisset clan sued the Kennedy clan after the idiot flew his plane into the water. They can sue for future earnings for the daughter and pain and suffering, loss of companionship being that she is a minor. In fact they may go after Porsche (who has not said a peep about any of this) aka deep pockets....

see this...http://www.tmz.com/2013/12/04/paul-w...ent-racetrack/

But they only paid 350K and admit no guilt.
