Grand Theft Auto 5
 

Surprisingly, I couldn't find a thread for this game on here, but for anyone who picked it up.. how do you like it so far? IMO, it's the best of the GTA series.

I agree. I have played all the others at friends houses and watched them install the game, and play the first hour or two.

This GTA 5 is the best so far. Graphics, the cars, the layout, etc..

It's definitely a good way to kill time! I am not much of a gamer, but this game I gave a big thumbs up!

P.S When you drive by a prius, the character says: "Get a real car!" haha.

Haha. I like going to Los Santos Customs and modding cars. It's easy to get sidetracked in that game by just screwing around at strip clubs, firing ranges, etc and not even do the missions.

I heard about the hype. Never really been a fan of GTA. My money will be with Black Ops Ghosts.

The game is awesome, if anyone is debating, just get it. You will not regret it.

It is night and day different (better) than GTA IV. They blended the nice graphics of IV with the freedom and mini games of GTAIII San Andres.

My only gripes I have found so far are the car damage model seems less nice than IV and the cross hairs are really small, which is frustrating when shooting from a car.

Shooting from a car is much harder in 5 than it was in the previous games. Also, I miss the cop missions. They were the most fun - high speed chases in a cop car during Vigilante mode.

I agree, some of the most fun missions in GTAIII series were all the side missions, taxi, cop, medic, fire truck, import export garages, phone missions.

Trevor is hilarious though. lol. All of the characters so far are pretty amusing.

I like how they have 3 very different main characters.

If you bring a car down to the end of the pier and have a sniper, the cops cant bring their cars down the pier because they have to abide by the law. So you can get 5 stars that way. Just have a machine gun to shoot down the helicopters!

I like seeing how many stars I can get, but refuse to use cheats. What sucks is, I lost 5 grand after getting Wasted and paying the hospital, so I'm going to play it safe and hold onto my cash til I've bought all of the properties, weapons, and car mods :tup:

Not sure if anybody has bought the marina (anchor icon) with Franklin yet, but I can't figure out how to buy boats online. I went to the website on Franklin's phone, but can't figure out where to go to buy a boat.

I played it pretty much straight through after getting it last week at midnight.. it took me about 31 hrs to finish the story mode

While that poor GTR sat in the garage all lonely? haha

That's pretty good completion time. I assume that's not rushing through every mission and doing some side stuff?

I'm patiently waiting for GTA Online to be open.

Anyone have feedback on the LCN stock exchange. Some people report it can be influenced via violent acts against competitor companies.

I think if you do some missions as Franklin for Lester you can kill off some CEO's to influence stock prices of competitors. Works pretty well as long as you follow what Lester is saying.

I think I beat the story with 61% complete. I havent done all the "?" missions im doing that now. my brother completed it in 29 hrs. I dont feel I rushed but i went from main story mission to main story mission with out too much sidetracking. I felt the combat was a little easy just because you could have all the weapons at one time.. I mean the assault shotgun is mostly all you need as its way powerful.

but yea I did some random stuff like trying to steal the jet fighter and different messing around that added to it. but I think it ended up being about 10 hrs split evenly across all 3 characters to finish the story part

just a quick tip for those who are getting close to the end.. the ending has 3 different choices you can make with 3 different outcomes.. you will be mad if you dont choose the 3rd option trust me. you can make a save slot and go back and get the other endings but the other 2 dont feel like the "real" ending

MC, did you purchase the marina with Franklin by chance?
I'm having a hard time trying to figure out how to buy a boat online.

It's interesting that they added so many weapon slots since it takes away from the realism. I almost preferred how it was in GTAIV where you had only limited guns at a time/ammo (more realistic)

The different grade body armor options at Ammunation are a nice touch though.

Franklin def is a mufuckin badass when hes in the zone. His driving ability is still crazy. No competition. :driving:

Trevor is okay. Hes just got a creepyness he gotta let go of. Maybe its cuz hes a hillbilly? His accent is kinda fake, jus sayin. :rofl2:

If he is a little more nice but not so nice that people will walk all over him, then he could be a chill guy. Also Mike is a family guy so he has his own problems. Franklin is the only boss ridin solo and still livin the life :tup:

I love GTA Online. I know a lot of people have had problems with it, but it has worked fine for me. The regular story mode is a lot of fun too, but the races are just too much fun online.

I agree with dtul, story mode was a lot of fun until online came. Love it!

Gotta beat the rest of this game, just played it a day, Franklin man!!!!!! :happydance:

I beat the game in the 30 hour range also, but its super addicting, and yes if you do some of the Lester missions with Franklin you can invest in certain companies, at first I was kinda hesitant to invest millions but DO IT!! it pays off but I think theres one where he recommends not to invest in so pay attention to the phone calls. The online is awsome but it kept glitching and my xbox overheating so I finally took a break.

Amazing. Hands down one of the most beautiful games ever. You can't run the full settings unless you have a 4 GB video card. At that setting I would imagine it looking almost real with a 4k tv

:tup: I might get it one day when the price goes down just for mods. It would be my 3rd time buying this game (ps3, ps4, pc) :owned:

I only have a 2 gb video card, but it's not like I even have screens that support 4k :ugh2:
