Ridley Scott without restraint would ruin the franchise just as bad if not worse than Lucas in 1-3. Just look at Promotheus. Really pretty, but really bad and full of just dumb, pointless crap because racecar.

If they go with the follow up book series with Han's kids then the current age of the three would be perfect.

and now...trainwreck status confirmed.

Depends entirely on how they use those characters. If Leia is off doing mom duty or polical duty, Luke doing council leader duty, and Han having an affair with his ship somewhere it could turn out fine.

I am personally hopping they take Han and immediately kill him off and destroy the Falcon in a way that sets up the main story arc with the focus on the kids. Have Luke and Leia contribute to the arc, but not be the main players. If they went this route, I think we have no Chewbacca either as he dies during the Yuuzhan Vong war. No idea if they brought him back some Force trickery though. :ugh2:

I would actually be upset if they just did one of the book trilogies. Want to see something new get done.

Unless it was the Thrawn trilogy. I would be in for that.

They should make a movie about the sith and the dark side.

The Duellists, Alien, Blade Runner, Thelma and Louise, Gladiator, Black Hawk Down, American Gangster... I think I would be ok with him taking a crack at it. Never going to happen though, Disney plans on releasing Star Wars movies on a yearly basis.
