The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey
Just watched it in 3D. Wasn't a bad movie, but definitely lacks the epic-ness of the LOTR trilogy.

Loved it. Felt a bit more "Tolkienish" than the LOTR movies though probably not as accurate as some would want. The 48 frame/3D effect was amazing....just don't sit anywhere near the front of the theater.

of course i loved it.
BUT - i think it became a movie about Thorin Oakenshield instead of the hobbit. It somehow lost the perspective of Bilbo that the book has. - also i totally agree - just fly up to the damn mountain and skip the next 3 books - the end :) |
This right here.

I love LOTR, but the protagonists in the first three movies connected with the audience much better. Maybe it's just me, but I found young Bilbo ho-hum and the slew of dwarves annoying. |

I asked the exact same question when the movie ended.
