Car Warriors 240Z build
 

Ugh. Just watched this on Speed (a rerun from March). Each team had a early 70s 240z. The "All-Stars" created this hideous "Speed Racer" build where they cut the top off and molded the Speed Racer body style from foam and fiberglass applied to the 240's sheet metal. It looked like an amateur kit car. The other team's build was OK ... not to my taste, but at least it still looked like a Z.

As you can guess, the judges choose the Speed Racer build. It didn't help matters that the judges were known for extreme builds -- e.g. George Barris.

Any of you guys see this episode? Opinions?

I saw that when it first aired. Pissed me off then and every time they replay it. The team's car that lost wasn't too horrible. The winning team should have their fingers and toes cut off. I'd also be happy if all the "judges" on the show were lit on fire. It's a stupid show and hopefully gets cancelled.

I did a cursory search via google. Found no pictures, but the episode is available on Hulu if you are feeling masochistic
