The Song of Ice and Fire books are definitely page-turners. I have read through A Feast for Crows and started A Dance with Dragons about a week ago. I decided to slow down because who knows how long it will take for the next book to come out. If ADWD has as many cliffhangers as AFFC I will be pretty upset waiting so long.

Anyway I am excited to see what is up next for the show and I have absolutely no regrets in reading ahead to find out what happens...in fact it will make the show that much more enjoyable having seen the interesting changes they had to make so far.

I watched the Boardwalk Empire seasons, so between that and football (and the History channel) that should fill up the TV gap until the next season of GOT.

You guys were right...A Feast for Crows was really good. Reviewers on Amazon are morons.

‘Game of Thrones’ Season 3 Finally Casts Mance Rayder

Role of Mance Rayder filled for Season 3. Good choice IMO.

I pictured someone a bit younger in my head. Good choice though. He's a good actor.

Im not a big fan of the casting.. while hes a good actor... he always feels a bit.. SOFT... not a tough guy.

My impression of Mance in the books is that he was not a tough guy. When Jon first met him he was the last guy in the tent he would have guessed would be Mance. I think that he mistakenly addressed Thormund as Mance...

Anyway, I liked his acting in Rome, so I bet after they do the costume and makeup magic on him he will do a good job as Mance.

I wonder if they will incorporate Vargo Hoat into the show. Same thing with Strong Belwass.

It seems that since they diverged so much from the books with the whole Arya/Harrenhal story arc it would seem almost pointless to include the Bloody Mummers/Vargo Hoat characters now. Roose Bolton is much different between the book and the TV series too.

Rose Leslie didn't impress me in Downtown Abbey, but Game Of Thrones has revealed her talent imho. I love her, Jon Snow is an idiot)))
