Yep. Two epic battles and the death of a major(ly kickass) character.

I am not sure if this is a spoiler: I am sorely disappointed that there is no Lady Stoneheart, Coldhands or the Greyjoy boys. I feel that the separation of The Hound and Arya will happen here pretty quickly which will be sad.

From what I've gathered, Tywin is toast, Shae is history, Ygritte bites the dust, something happens to the Hound,and Stannis and Jon Snow saves the day. Can't wait to see how well Peter Dinklage handles these next 2 episodes, amazing Im sure as always

^ do not click on the above spoiler if you haven't read the books

The epicness of the Battle of Castle Black met my expectations, but I am very sad that Pip and Grenn are gone :( Happy that Jon put a hammer in Styr's head :)

Next week will be the best season finally yet...can't wait!

Season finally or finale? If it's the finale I'm super sad. It went by waaayyy too fast.

I love the nod the kid gave to Jon after putting the arrow through Ygritte, total badassery!

Grenn = hero

Someone pointed out that Ygritte killed his father so it was kind of a karma thing. Loved the episode overall. I was overly invested in the characters at the wall but it focused on the characters we know and care about the most. Also... DAT ENDING!!

Lady Stoneheart appears in the epilogue of A Storm of Swords. She's also been mentioned several times throughout the season. I'm guessing they save it for this season's finale as a cliffhanger.

It's the season finale. Season 5 will probably start up next Feb/March. All the better since I wouldn't really want the show to surpass the books.

GRRM needs to finish the Winds of Winter and possibly A Dream of Spring, the final book!

Yeah, I missed Ollie's karma call-back until I saw it on Imgur. I was too into the moment anyway enjoying what is probably my favorite episode thus far. And even knowing mostly what was to happen, I was pretty affected by it when it did happen. To be honest, the opening battle was far more logical and tidy than the book, and it gave certain characters a moment or two that should have happened in the book. One of the places where I feel the show's writing was actually better. Alliser's character in the show is also far better than the book (just like Oberyn this season as well).

I wouldn't be surprised if we get some Greyjoy action next season. Also, Coldhands hasn't been shown, but he's been implied with the masses of crows at Craster's. However, his involvement there was definitely changed from the book. (Heck, Bran wasn't even supposed to be near there, but he wasn't doing anything otherwise anyway...)

I think with the Greyjoys, it's just something they have to accommodate with how they can cast actors for seasons of a show. It's costly to keep unused characters on retainer for future use (so they don't go and get another gig and leave you hanging), and also lame to only have a recurring character for half a season on either end. So casting all the Greyjoy stuff may have needed to wait a bit for a proper season-long gig.

What an episode! Best ever!!

Guess Tywin doesn't shat gold after all.
