Even though they have only showed one ep so far, I'm really enjoying Black Sails on starz also.

This is one of those where the ending is going to determine whether I really like it or not. They better have a new trick up their sleeve!

Just got into true detectives. Maybe I'm too Hollywood but the story line is so slow and uneventful to me. Michael Bay must have corrupted me...

I enjoy a slow burn, hard boiled detective story. True Detective is a refreshing take on the genre and delves more into the psychology of it's protagonists (if you can call them that). For that I enjoy it and I hope it builds to the big conclusion like it feels that it's aiming for.

Let's get back on topic... GoT is still 3 months away :mad:

Troof, I can't wait!

I have been filling the gap by reading The Kingkiller Chronicle and am about to finish The Way of Kings (The Stormlight Archive).

I can't believe it is taking George R.R. Martin so long in getting out The Winds of Winter :( Especially considering that Brandon Sanderson knocked out two 1000+ page great epic books AND fit in the last two books of The Wheel of Time series while GRRM only produced the mediocre A Dance with Dragons.

All the while the abridged story for the TV show is rapidly going to overtake the books.

Maybe he might do a Robert Jordan on us and Brandon Sanderson can take over...

Sanderson is one of my absolute favs. Check out the The Darkness That Come Before by Scott Bakker for something I think is just as good.

I'm not screwing around this year I'm ordering hbo I'm not waiting till February 2015 to watch season 4. Still need to watch season 3 just no time :icon14:

Oh yeah, I pre order them on blu ray thru amazon which is actually pretty cheap but screw it

BTW, Vikings is a bad-azz show for something to hold you over to the GOT season 4 premier. Not as great in scope, but a great story and production quality.
