Depression is setting in...next week is the season finale :(
I guess I will fill the void by reading the first two books then :) |
True Blood starts the next week, then we have Boardwalk Empire. After that Spartacus on starZ, then back to Game.

Epic battle. Pretty much movie quality, truly impressed.

yea my friend sent me a random text today stating "that was straight out of The Two Towers... but in a good way!"

yay, some free time today, i'm watching a few eps to catch up...i'm already looking forward to season 3 hahaah
|
Hell yeah season three.

The battle was good, and the episode moved fast through the storyline but I feel like they sold us short and simple on the overall battle strategy. I have an average at best imagination and when I read Tyrion's chapters on the Blackwater it was way more epic in my head than what I saw. Not enough ships on both sides, no chain, no horse charge from Tyrion going mad in battle right up until Mandon Moore takes a swing at him. All these things would have make Tyrion even dearer to us as a character I feel.

^^I know what you mean, but there's no way they could have done everything with the budget they had. It cost about 6 Million per episode and I'm sure, a very short time frame to shoot. I don't think I've seen anything come close in quality to that battle from anything else made for TV.

Damn son, 6 mil an EP? That's crazy. I could definitely see how it would cost that much though. Straight up, every time I watch GoT I think I'm watching a movie.
