Killzone 3
Who's getting this? There's an online demo. I thought killzone 2 was ok, not too bad looking and kind of fun. I wasn't impressed with the 3d In kz3 because the graphics takes a hit. But it looks great in non 3d.

I plan on picking this up. Liked the second on a lot.
I don't have a TV to support 3D, but I guess I would rather enjoy the better graphics. When it is in 3D, what parts jump out at you? |

The best part about 3d is that the picture can be paused and everything still looks three dimensional. The falling snow, sparks, explosions add a nice 3d effect. The picture appears to be coming out of the tv and I feel like I'm looking into my tv as if it was a window. Non 3d graphics look like a painting, flat.
The single player demo is out on the 15th.

Yes only for ps3.
Wow the single player demo is very visually impressive. I haven't seen a console game look as good as this, this is how kz2 should of looked like. The beginning of the level reminded me of cod, riding on the spacecraft shooting the enemy on the towers. The wasp gun is pretty bad *** and makes me feel invincible. I don't think I had to ever revive my partner, in fact he revived me a few times. Can't wait to pick this up.

I played Killzone and its sequel, and I always did like the story. I heard that Killzone 3 was going to be a bit lighter in it's storyline (since Killzone 2 was rated down somewhat for having a story that was "too dark," wow, really?).
I played the online beta and found it loads of fun, definitely a new way to do multiplayer is to add rotating scenarios. Not the newest idea but the best interpretation of it I've seen or played. I actually played the single player demo this morning and found it tons of fun, jetpack is just too great. I love the melee system, definitely another new thing that players will enjoy. Suffice it to say I will have cash in hand when it comes out on the 22nd.

I just picked up the game today. I spent last week replaying kz2. I read that the game has 40% more polygons than kz2. The graphics are really phenomenal, this game looks better than what my pc can do. I feel like I'm playing a ps4 game. Over the past couple years I lost interest in video games because the graphics were dated, compared to my pc. But wow kz3 has me enjoying console games again. Control feels much tighter than kz2 too.

beat it... pretty damn good game.. pretty short game i added up all the chapter times and it was just over 5 hours... a few of the last stages reminded me a little too much of parts of Halo Reach you guys will know what im talking about if youve played both
but i enjoyed it overall Last edited by MC; 02-24-2011 at 02:50 AM. |

I beat it too, maybe 6-7 hours. But the game didn't feel short because of the variety of levels.

i thought the difficulty wasnt too bad.. but there were a few parts where it felt a little unbalanced... the part where you had to platform jump up that tower in the ice stage...with the jetpack and when you landed you always had your back turned to the enemy...that part took me a bunch of tries.. then a couple parts here and there where i had i felt a little overwhelmed... but most of the time i had the right weapon...like the bolt gun in the junkyard made that level alot easier if you just used it the entire time and kept replenishing it

Yeah the final boss in kz2 was very tough and I usually give up after many tries but I did eventually beat him. I'm not much of a gamer so I don't like too challenging games so kz3 left me satisfied. There were levels I was glad I passed. The ending movie was very short though.
