Man it looks like I'm the only one who liked this episode! I loved it actually. But then again I'm a sucker for Walking Dead. I seriously thought they left the prison after showing it empty so much. Very touching moment with Michone telling Andrea that she will stay as she would kill herself. Should've taken over Woodbury!

So now they are still stuck at the prison with new weaklings to take care of and feed? Well done.. Seems to me like zombies are no longer even a threat to anyone - they are merely a nuisance like weeds that need to be brushed aside. I want to see what happened in other parts of the country/world, establish some sort of connection or just get up and leave and check out other places. Show is starting to get boring - the finale left me very disappointed.

10 million people love and watch the show, and either don't care about or don't like the comic. Characters will live or die or be generated out of thin air, plots will twist or turn (or go nowhere) in order to please them.

By contrast, less than 100,000 people are fans of the comic (myself included), and are either lukewarm to or tolerant of the show's deviations from the source material.

Kirkman allegedly oversees the script writing to some extent, but is content to let the show go in its own direction, different on occasion from the comic, for whatever reason -- he claims to keep the fans guessing, but fans have limited interest in such things, frankly. We like adaptations to be as pure as possible...

Anyway, so that is why we are still at the prison, the Governor isn't dead, Andrea is gone (and conveniently replaced by a new chick...) and so on.

Notwithstanding my grumblings, this was a generally good episode (see further, my 2nd comment above...), well directed, well paced, etc.

They have yet to introduce the problem of zombie "herds". That is how Kirkman eventually forces them to move along in the comic. That is until

Did they identify it as a roaming "herd"? I can't remember.

In the comic, literally, thousands of them will eventually wander off in the same direction towards a noise or something until you have a "force of nature" as Kirkman calls it, moving towards you like a hurricane. If it was talked about like that then I just forgot

On another note, I'm kind of annoyed that every time they kill off someone, they replace that character with an approximate duplicate (see further death of Dale, keeping alive of Hershel -- even giving him Dale's lost leg -- a comic plot point).

So I guess the new chick will learn to use a rifle...

On the other hand, I guess there's hope for a more over the top showdown with the Governor. Something to look forward to, I suppose...

I thought it was pretty good. The Woodburry Army was epic to start then started to be like wtf they all ran away from the prison's alarm and 2 people shooting at them. I think the governor will be back later next season since he kinda just drove off into the distant. I would predict midway of season 4 he make his return setting up for season 4 part 2

Well just watched the finale. I started laughing during Andrea's scene because you hear the shell casing hit the ground...from a revolver. Am I also the only person who counts rounds as much in possible in shows yet they never reload unless its dramatic?

Is it too much to ask for one day a show to be weapon accurate?

Just watched it... not bad, much better than the rest of the season but still only a 6-8 outta 10.... the wifey was pissed when they killed Andrea! I'm curious where they are going to go with the show...
That is crazy how they always replace characters with similar ones lol

I think that's the way they keep the story more or less in line with the comic -- if they kill someone off who has a specific role to fill, they just replace that person with someone else who can fill the role, hence the Dale/Hershel shuffle.

Now when the hell is Rick gonna get his . Guess they had to keep the Gov and at least one flunkie alive for that.

I watched the season opener to Games of Thrones last night, and just being able to watch a show without noticing all the discontinuities between scenes was pretty nice.

Do you realize how slow and dumb shows would be if they sat there and loaded 30rd magazines all day, its a show for a reason to have a plot that moves along they dont need something like reloading weapons to the exact number or just shooting the exact number of bullets to slow it down because that is what would happen.

I don't think it was supposed to be a shell casing would have to rewatch to hear the sound again but though it was supposed to be the sound of the revolver hitting the ground itself after pulling the trigger. Some people get hung up with how much realism is in a "show". Do you get that bent out of shape when a big budget movie can't get it right?

lol, I noticed that too. To be fair though, in this universe, dead corpses are walking around trying to eat people. The entire army also got defeated by slow, lumbering zombies that easily get cut down with a pocket knife to the head.

Who know's maybe Michonne shot her instead.
