I think they should have wrapped up the governor. What are they going to do with him now? The rest Woodbury is at the prison and he only has two guys with him.

They branched so far off the comics that I have no idea what's coming next.

It would have been cool if he came back to check on Andrea but she appears passed out in the chair but as he leans down to check on her, she lifts her head, revealing that she's now a zombie and then bites a chunk out of the gov's neck.

They built up the battle so much in the preview and then all we got was a zombie mow down, running through an empty prison, flash bangs, missed shots, and a psychopathic massacre.

They only actually fought each other for like 30 seconds the whole episode

I don't think so. I expect them to keep him around for 2-3 episodes in season four and then finish him off, leading into a new threat that will continue for the rest of the season.

I thought this finale was weak compare to season 1 & 2. There were too many open ended questions and not enough real zombie killing. When governor went off on his own soldiers, how the hell did they not fight back?

I also found it hard to believe that the governor just left all the supplies behind. You would think it would be crucial to save whatever you have.

I am let down by this finale. I'm glad shithead andrea died. The big battle that they built up sucked.

Man it looks like I'm the only one who liked this episode! I loved it actually. But then again I'm a sucker for Walking Dead. I seriously thought they left the prison after showing it empty so much. Very touching moment with Michone telling Andrea that she will stay as she would kill herself. Should've taken over Woodbury!

So now they are still stuck at the prison with new weaklings to take care of and feed? Well done.. Seems to me like zombies are no longer even a threat to anyone - they are merely a nuisance like weeds that need to be brushed aside. I want to see what happened in other parts of the country/world, establish some sort of connection or just get up and leave and check out other places. Show is starting to get boring - the finale left me very disappointed.

10 million people love and watch the show, and either don't care about or don't like the comic. Characters will live or die or be generated out of thin air, plots will twist or turn (or go nowhere) in order to please them.

By contrast, less than 100,000 people are fans of the comic (myself included), and are either lukewarm to or tolerant of the show's deviations from the source material.

Kirkman allegedly oversees the script writing to some extent, but is content to let the show go in its own direction, different on occasion from the comic, for whatever reason -- he claims to keep the fans guessing, but fans have limited interest in such things, frankly. We like adaptations to be as pure as possible...

Anyway, so that is why we are still at the prison, the Governor isn't dead, Andrea is gone (and conveniently replaced by a new chick...) and so on.

Notwithstanding my grumblings, this was a generally good episode (see further, my 2nd comment above...), well directed, well paced, etc.

They have yet to introduce the problem of zombie "herds". That is how Kirkman eventually forces them to move along in the comic. That is until
