I don't know if companies are lining up to provide cars for this movie like chevy and transformers. And they usually need several stand ins and back up cars (just in case the lead car hits a cop car that wondered onto the set).

Since the first movie all cars are donated by actual owners.
The studio buys shells to blow up and destroy as needed.
