Default 320g Playstation 3 Needs Repair

I have a original style PS3 with a 320g hard drive (upgraded from 40g). The disc drive is not working correctly. Originally I am pretty sure the laser went out... I bought a new laser and carriage but never could successfully repair... now it takes the discs but doesn't eject them and doesn't show any read. It is very possible that you could get it working with the components supplied (will supply original laser/carriage too).

Unit comes with power cord and hard drive... no controllers or AV cables. Perfect if you have one of those yellow light of death units but a working rom.

Thinking $150 plus shipping... 320g slims are $299.

Can post pics if someone is interested.

This will go on Craigslist and Ebay if it doesn't sell. Trying to avoid creepy craigslist people if at all possible lol.

$100 shipped is my lowest price... already listed on eBay but will stop auction if buyer purchases prior to end (next weekend).

I bet you it's just that the disk mechanism is slightly off the track. I replaced the laser carriage assembly in my old 60gb and had the same problem. I tried to load the disk with the cover off the PS3 (and the metal cover off the drive assembly) and could see that the disk never seated over the spindle. It wouldn't eject either. I kept screwing with it until I got it properly aligned and it's been golden since then.

Your right but I just went and bought a new one. I must have taken the thing apart a dozen times. It's a good deal for someone that wants to mess with it. If it doesnt sell I'll send the drive to one of those guys that repairs them so I have a working backup I guess.

Still for sale...

$50 shipped for the hard drive (formatted for PS3 but can be formatted for a laptop as well (believe it is a Western Digital Scorpio 320g but will confirm before purchase).
$50 plus shipping for the PS3 without the drive.

Local pickup also available. Buyers cover paypal fees otherwise.
