You can get a new tricked out alienware laptop for a lot less than that. Infact I went crazy just now using their configuration wizard and made one for $3099 without any rebates or coupons added.
And yes it was a M17x and it included a DUAL GPU setup, 8GB of RAM, Blu-Ray player and a core i7 CPU. Your model will sell for about $1500. This isn't a threadshit, just giving you a heads up.
