Moving to Canada, selling my guns
Hi guys,
Well, I know I haven't been on the forum for a while. Indeed, it's been so long that I'm sure some newer members don't even know who I am. I've been absent because I've been going through both divorce and job loss at the same time. It's been a tough period. Anyway, I've lived in Georgia for the past 16 years, and I've built up a decent sized gun collection. I'm moving back home to Canada now (Calgary), and I can't bring them with me. It breaks my heart, but it is what it is. I may not even be able to bring my Z, which also breaks my heart. If anyone is interested in buying some of these from me, please PM me. Unfortunately, I think this sale will have to be limited to those who live in GA or are willing to meet me to pick up the firearm. I'm not 100% positive, but I think if I ship one out of state, it has to go to an FFL dealer or something. Here's what I have, along with what I'm asking for each: Ed Brown Kobra Carry ($1700) http://i618.photobucket.com/albums/t...0/P1000493.jpg FNP-45 ($500) - SOLD http://i618.photobucket.com/albums/t...0/P1000326.jpg FN PBR XP (Sniper rifle) ($2000) w. Nightforce 3.5x15 mil-spec scope - Scope rings - Harris bipod http://i618.photobucket.com/albums/t...0/P1000416.jpg FN SLP Mark 1 (semi-auto 12-gauge) ($800) - SOLD http://i618.photobucket.com/albums/t...0/P1000424.jpg Kimber Ultra Covert II ($1100) http://i618.photobucket.com/albums/t...0/P1010045.jpg Nighthawk Custom T3 ($2400) http://i618.photobucket.com/albums/t...0/P1000477.jpg Nighthawk Custom GRP ($2000) http://i618.photobucket.com/albums/t...0/P1010328.jpg Ruger LCR ($375) - SOLD http://i618.photobucket.com/albums/t...0/P1010044.jpg Sig P238 ($550) (*this gun has never been fired) - SOLD http://i618.photobucket.com/albums/t...0/P1010340.jpg Wilson Combat Sentinel ($2100) http://i618.photobucket.com/albums/t...0/P1000384.jpg Wilson Combat M-4T ($3000) w. Hey Hey! Welcome to Canada (again) and if you're coming to Calgary, you might as well keep your guns! You don't want to be the only redneck in town with just a baseball bat.... :icon17:
Seriously, you should be able to find a way to keep them coming to Canada. Unless it is merely a financial decision, in which case, GLWS and hope things get brighter for you in the future! :tiphat: |
throw them in the hatch of the Z, leave the cargo cover open. At the border, when they ask you if you have any weapons, say 'no'.
should make things interesting |
Ben,
I hope things get better bro! to you other guys: I have personally shot some of these guns... They are PHENOMENAL!!!! I am looking to pick up some of this gear myself! these are great prices and wont last long so if your in the market you better jump on them! |
Sorry to hear it man! :(
|
I'm sorry to hear this Ben. I wish I could be there for you financially like you were with me man. I'm a Marine ya know, so I'll see what sales I can make for you on the side. I'm gonna print this page and show some friends what you got. I hope I can help as much as possible bro. GL with everything.

I know, deep down inside you wouldn't part with your weapons unless you really had too. Sorry to see this!
|
Good luck with everything, Ben.
damn I wish I lived nearby  |
Some nice iron there! The ones I want are too much $$.
Really want that M-4T and I wouldn't mind that Kobra Carry either. Edit: I didn't mean overpriced, I just meant I can't afford 'em right now. GLWS. |
I've gotta rep you. +1 for a serious 1911 owner. Those are quality pieces. Being a 1911 aficionado myself, I approve! Beautiful, quality weapons. You can never go wrong with Wilson or Brown!
|
Good luck, Ben. Sorry to see you have to let them go. If I had the cash I'd be all over that M4-T right now.

I might be interested in that M-4 and in getting it, I would surely hide it away as I don't think it's on the California list of approved firearms. I've got no problem with that but my question is, when you sell a gun, you normally have to complete a transfer in order to release you from liability. How would we get around this? Since it's definitely going to be off the books on my end... you could just report it stolen for all I care but... ? |
Sad to hear... you've come a long way modding your car, but I hope you'll still be around and get another Z when things turn around! We'll still be here :)
Sorry man... I don't know squat about guns, but I'll point your thread to my cousin. |
Ben, really sorry to hear about all of the sh*t you're going through. I'm not on here as much as some others and I had no idea of the stress and turmoil you've been dealing with. I am all set on guns, but I hope the move is a positive turning point in your life and hope you stick around here even if you have to sell the Z.
|
I too hope things turn around for you bro. That which doesn't kill you, only makes you stronger.
Besides, I understand that there are more unicorns in Canada than here anyhow FTW! (sometimes laughter is the best medicine) |

That view would be liberal instead of conservative. I could be wrong, but conservatives believe in guns and protecting their own. Liberals would offer coffee and a free hand job.

Hey Ben, in regards to KillerBee's question, you can write up a bill of sale with the firearm's name, serial #, date of purchase, date of transfer and you are good as long as you both sign and date it. So maybe just fax some stuff back and forth, then you're good.
Next note, I think I have some potential buyers for you. 2 or 3 of which are in Georgia (Augusta area) and the other 2 are in SC. I'll keep you posted on what weapons they are looking at and if/when they want to purchase. Are the prices firm or can you negotiate a little. I won't let them try to lowball you, trust me on that. |
Kimber....
