I have very little knowledge of Bahrain and its customs so take my opinions with a grain of salt.
Democracy has its flaws, but so does a monarchy. Saying "if you don't like it, leave" is a bit on the ignorant side. They have a just as much "right" to call that country home as you do, be it a democracy or monarchy. Loyalty to your king is admirable, but so is fighting for your freedoms or beliefs. A society without a voice leads to tyranny and oppression. Violence is not the answer, especially when a protestors are involved. It doesn't matter if it's one man or 1 million. It doesn't matter if they have pistols, knives or a broadsword. It doesn't matter if they were influenced by "outsider". It doesn't matter if its 0.1% 2%, 5% etc. Everyone on this planet has every right to speak freely without consequences even if you hate them. Having a belief is not a crime. So long as any government has the ability to persecute or punish someone based on their belief, no one is truly free. I understand that there are inherent differences between Bahrain & the US, but we also have a lot in common. I'd like to think that what makes us human is universal. Bahrain is an important ally to the US and vital strategically to the war in Afghanistan. If the monarchy falls, Iranian influence and control is inevitable. Lets hope that is not the case and this all ends peacefully.

I hope whatever works out best for the majority of the people of Bahrain is what works out.
But telling Americans about loyalty to a King is pointless. We don't, and won't, and can't, get it. We rebelled from our King as colonists and decided to elect our ******** rather than worship whosever's grandfather cut off someone's head and took a castle 300 years ago.

today was a very bad day for us, while we were in Peaceful protesting to show the world that the majority in Bahrain are Loyal to the king, all of the sudden we received msgs that we have to go home. because their was clashes between the oppisition and the army that secured al LULU Square.
imagine 200 000 of men, women, kids and family and expats went out and celebrated to show the world that we are happy with the royal family, and suddenly the oppision went out with weapons to scare us but we lucky that the army was there to protect us. anyways the army secured the area again. and i went back home at 12 night. because i couldnt drive to my house earlier!! Bahrain is a very peaceful country, i have allot of american, indian and chinese friends, they are now considering leaving the country because of what happend am realy sad

Things seem to be getting serious. Its too bad people have to die. If they aren't citizens, I don't think they have a right to complain though. Its kind of like when the Mexican immigrants in America demand rights from us, and most Americans thought it was ridiculous.

Much of the Middle East and North Africa is erupting in protest. Every day, another nation has protests. Protests all the way over in China too.
It's incredible... I've never seen anything like it. All of a sudden, the whole Middle and Far Eastern world is screaming for Democracy.

well, the crown prince canceled the grand prix because he don't want to take the risk, if something went wrong!!
the opposition protesting here, are not protesting in a civilized way!! if they do, they wouldn't cancel the F1!! am wondering why do they protest in a country that have one of the best circuits in the worlds :S :S
