Remove the two C clips circled in red, use needle nose pliers.

These hold on the bolts (red circles are pins you removed) and push them towards the side with the heads on them (marked with yellow).

That assembly comes out and then you can remove the spring. Incidentally I have an extra "softer" spring if you want it (free).

It changes the pedal feel to a softer one but doing this or removing the spring won't change the engagement point.
