Well, it is a sad day to report that I have sold Batman (Really Batgirl because it's a "her", but other people gave her the nickname Batman). I have had her for six years. Put 15,000 loving miles and spent over $20k in mods to make it over 600 hp. It was one of the baddest convertible Z's out there. I will miss her greatly because the kid I sold her to has already wrecked her. It was so much fun to drive. When the RPM's built up and I shifted, the hiss that came out of that thing was impressive. WHOOOOOOOOOOSH!!!!!! It made people jump. Then they would look and smile. It was a bad machine. So long Batman. You will be in my dreams.

Not right now. I'm waiting to see what the mid engine Vette looks like and the specs on it. With the GT-R now in the $140k range, and it's ugly to boot, I'm gonna wait. I still have a restored '79 Trans Am to cruise in so all is not lost. But it definitely isn't as fast or handle like the Z. I am not going to mod anymore cars. I will buy it stock with forced induction. I lost too much $$ with modding.

Yeah, that's quite the gap in post dates. Doesn't help that people like me create accounts and continue to do nothing but lurk. I think this is my second ever post. To keep it STL related, you see a fair amount of Zs driving around but once, at the intersection of Butler Hill and Lemay Ferry, there were three '09 Platinum Graphite Z34s, mine included, sitting at different red lights just looking back and forth at each other. Would have been rare enough in 2009, but in 2020 it was extremely odd.

Cool alignment of Zs. I hear that happens only once every 250 years.

Once the 400 comes out and everyone starts dumping their Z34s... nah, you're right. I may have seen one 370 since posting that, but it was after dark and I just consider everyone behind me to be a cop because rear window + tint = 0 visibility. Finally installing my new mirror and cameras today to hopefully change that.

I lived in Alton il and hardly ever saw any other 370s. Sucks now for the thread revival 😆

While not many, I've seen a few since last posting, but mines a DD and shows it... because bullet holes are just part of daily driving in good ol' St. Louie. Just last night I saw a super clean white 370Z at the Arnold QuikTrip while pumping gas. I get so jealous of you guys that haven't had your cars shot, attacked by deer, and run off the road twice all in the last half year, so don't ever really approach anyone. I know the second I put my replacement parts on a helicopter rotor or something is going to land in the middle of my hood or roof.

That leads me to the question, what shops do you guys trust around here? I've always been self maintenance but sometimes I consider taking the lazy route and just paying, but feel like it'll just cost more in the long run that way.

I've moved back to Alton from Nashville and if anyone wants to meet up this spring/summer I'm down. There is a pretty solid car scene over here on the Il side, plus minus most of the Stl drama lol

Deer, yes, run off the road, yes. Bullet holes? Lol... not yet. I'm in Arnold a lot though so if you see me I'm safe to approach.

As for shops, my Z isn't a dd so I haven't needed much done. The only mods I do are audio if that counts. But I did have a torn boot thing in the front spring area and I drove all the way to St. Charles Nissan dealer for that. I also went there for oil changes for years. Long drive for me but I'm picky about who touches my Z. Say what you want about dealers but this one has convenient hours and gives me a rental for the day. Probably not helpful at all I know.

Do any of you have the sticky dash problem in your Z? Anyone know of any local companies that can provide some kind of fix?
