any of you Indy guys have an extra set of TPMS that will work in my 2009? If so PM ME!

Highway 10-18-2013 07:57 PM

I don't. Did you get tires on your 20's or did you have to get new rims?

Yeah I have them test mounted right now (did it saturday). I'm torn on if i like them or not. They didnt go as expected.

Wheel specs are 20x9 +18 and 20x11 +20. The fronts do not clear the akebonos without a spacer

Mounted currently with 20mm spacers up front making the front 20x9 -2 and the rear has my 25mm spacer making the rear 20x11 -5.

My 15mm were delivered today according to my tracking number so I will be removing the 25mm from the rear, moving the 20mm to the back and then installing the 15mm on the front and then measuring. If I can run a thinner spacer, I will buy a 10mm and put it up front.

The tires also stretched a lot more than I ever wanted. Fronts are 245/30/20 (shorter than stock to give me extra clearance.. heard a 245/35 would rub at this offset without camber arms up front) but for some reason it is stretched on the 9" wheel. Was not expecting that at all considering the stock is a 245 with a 9" wheel and no stretch.

Rear i knew there would be stretch but i didnt think it would be that bad. The stock wheel as you know runs a 275/35/19 on a 10" wheels and I went with a Pilot Sport in 275/30/20 on the 11" wheel. It's stretched a lot. I was expecting just a tiny bit.

Overall, I think these wheels actually run wider than they claim, unfortunately.

I love the wheels but I'm not sure it's my cup of tea. Considering maybe selling them or trading for some Nismo wheels if they dont grow on me.

I think the rims look good, but it would definitely be better if you were able to get a little more sidewall on those tires. It looks awful thin in the front. Think that would terrify me driving on some of these crappy Indy roads.

Your car looks really low with that Nismo front bumper....

There are 3 (that I know of) up in the Peru area including mine.

“The name of the meeting site and the condition of my S30 is purely coincidental”….

In other big news, we now have a new website up! Indy Z Car Club. Check it out!! The contact email address for the Z Board is IZCC@indyzcarclub.org. The new site does not have a discussion forum, since it was a real problem with the spammers. This is an informational site only. As mentioned on the site, the Facebook site will be a source of the most current information. The website lists our 2014 meeting dates and the special Z events that are being planned. While it's fun driving my sedan everyday...I really want to get the Z out more and more. I've had more than my fill of this snow and cold weather.

Have you still been able to get your Z out in this weather Bummer?

Also, hoping the city makes quick work of all of these potholes once it warms up.

Mine sat for a week when that 11" storm hit. It sat two days over the most recent 7" storm. Those days I used Irene's Rogue.

Usually, once the roads are cleared, I'm back in the Z. The only place that's a real problem is my neighborhood. It has to hit three or four inches or they won't plow.

I couldn't agree more about the pavement problems. Some of those holes have basements.

Alert the press: I had the Z out today.

Got new rubber on the rear and ready for this spring to begin!

Good for you! Not quite top-down weather, but hopefully we're getting there.

Indy Z Car Club meeting

FYI Everyone:

Thursday the 13th is the next Indy Z Car Club meeting at the Rusty Bucket. (Details six posts up.) They got the (January) private room issues sorted out and have the room reserved on the second Thursday every month through the year.

Last month the food was good, as was the company. I joined at the meeting, though it is not actually necessary. The club met my expectations, so I did it.

Maybe this month the weather will be good enough my wife and I won't be the only ones getting there in our Z.

Ahhhh! Pulled the cover off my Z this weekend and woke it up for the first time in 4 months!

Does that mean you're the one who's going to make it snow the next time? So far it's been me, trying to DD a Roadster in Indiana in the winter. (Good thing the wife has a Rogue.)
