I saw two 370Z's last night, in the parking lot by that Monterrey Mexican restaurant by Jorda Creek. One was a white 2013+ NISMO, the other was a dark grey/silver w/ sport package. Just wondering if it was anybody on here. I was in my Jeep.

NICI has got another meet coming up on Saturday, June 28th in Des Moines. Should be a fun evening meet!

I'm a maybe for June 28th. Not totally sure if I want to drive all the way to DSM but you never know

I'll be coming from Waterloo. If anyone wants to meet up and cruise down I'd be up for that

Hopefully the weather holds out tonight for the meet!

How was the turn-out? I wasn't able to make it.

GrooveStyle 06-30-2014 11:22 AM

It was decent given the weather! There were about 7 guys from the club, and some guys from the Mazda club showed up, too! I think they're planning on doing it again soon, maybe during a weeknight? No official date yet

Out of curiosity, has anyone in the central Iowa area ever had a shop install anything for them? I'm talking headers, test pipes, maybe even a turbo kit? Just wondering if there are any shops in the area that are comfortable working on 370Zs.

I'm new to Iowa. Just moved from Florida and was looking to see if anyone does meets or anything in the Quad Cities area.

Just curious, but do you other Z owners have front license plates?

No, so far I haven't been pulled over for it. If you're curious I looked up the fine. It's only $10.

I haven't found much in Iowa. Mostly Honda shops around Des Moines. Nothing by me. I do my own work... when/if I get a turbo kit in, I'd like to do it myself. I've done suspension/exhaust/sways/diff bushings/interior/clutch already. Not too bad if you take your time. There's a link to the service manual on the forum here too, that's a godsend...

I know there are some decent UpRev tuners in the twin cities in MN, which is closer than Chicago for me...

Did you have something in the near future that you're wanting to install?

I was mainly thinking of a turbo kit. I'd feel a lot more comfortable having a professional install it and do the tuning.

This is hypothetical at this point, though. I only bought my car a few months ago, so I haven't quite decided what my plans are for it yet. But it would be nice to know of a trustworthy shop close by.

Do any of the local Iowa guys have a Fast Intentions exhaust on their Z? I'm thinking of getting one, but can't decide on the resonators. I'd love to hear some in person, since Youtube clips can only do so much.

Anybody driving the red 370 into the airport yesterday? I was the black 370 next to you.
