Need help from anyone in the Mineapolis area for Wazata Nissan.
Hey guys, I am not from your area but I found a car located at this dealer up your way. Is anyone familiar with Wazata Nissan and are they a legit dealer? I have been in contact with them about a 2010 red Nismo they have right now. I told him I would rather it come with a certified warranty but hes like no it will push the prices up....whatever. But yah if anyone has any rep on this dealer, can you please let me know. I will be looking to make a deal in the next 2 to 3 weeks max.
Thanks guys:driving: |
I live in Minneapolis but I purchased my Z in Houston, tx. If I'm out that way I'll stop and take a look at it. I haven't heard anything about that dealership.
But on to that salesman, why would he care if it pushes the price up? It's your money. And I like the peace of mind knowing that my pre-owed z has a 75k warranty. |

This will seem like an odd observation but here goes.
My only knowledge of Wayzata Nissan is based on ebay. I constantly check ebay for Z hats, shirts, etc. Typically Wayzata charges outlandish Shipping and Handling. As an example, the sell a ball cap for $15 but want $20 S&H...for a light and small item like a cap! That is only one example. It makes me think if they're that outrageously high on something like that...how out of line are they on other stuff? I looked up their site and they appear to be high priced on their cars. I guess my advice is "Buyer Beware!" |
They are asking 33.9k for a 2010 red nismo according to auto trader. Only has 8k on it and id be willing to fly up and drive it home but id want em to come down to mid 31 to make it worth my while. Just cause flight alone 400, then 4 tanks of gas give or take...yah.

Well, I went to Wayzata Nissan between my two jobs today to look at it. Be ready for a long post!
The dealership is very small. I didn't even have anywhere to park my Z! They had lots of nice cars crammed into that lot though. They had like 4 370'z, a GTR some nice beamers. But I didn't see a Nismo. So I walked in and asked the first guy about it. He said it was in the body shop getting the bumper fixed. My SCAM Alert radar went of. I asked why it was in the body shop and he said it was getting some paint chips and what not fixed. Then I was like ok that makes sense. I told him the story of having a buddy that is looking at it and I was checking it out before he got serious about a purchase. So we go back and the car wasn't actually IN the body shop. It was out back. And on to condition. I didn't snap any pics just because I felt super awkward. But I remember everything about it considering it was 20 mins ago. The first thing I noticed was curb rash on the wheels. The fron passenger wheel has curb rash about 1/4th the distance around the wheel. The Drivers Side has only about 3/4 inches of curb rash. The driver rear wheel has curb rash about 1/2 diameter around the wheel. The tires are in decent condition. I'd say 60-65% The interior was nice for the most part. It was obvious the the previous owner didn't car about the car. (there is a reason for this lack of care that I'll explain later on) The driver, interior door handle looks like freddy krueger must have owned the car. Idk how nails get that sharp to scratch the door like that. Also on the driver side, the weather stripping has worn off. Again idk how they managed this in 8.5k miles  Lastly there was only 1 nismo floor mat. I asked where the other one was and he couldn't tell me. But the rest of the interior was really good. I started the car, and all sounded good. I didn't get to drive it, but mechanically I doubt there are any problems. One to warranty and other things. The reason why they wouldn't put a certified warranty on it is because they just don't do that at that location. Reason being because it costs them to much money to get it certified through nissan. But you can still purchase and extended warranty. Also that car is still covered under the Manufactures warranty for 1 more years for electric stuff, and 3 more years for power train. Over all I think it is a gorgeous car. I love Nismos and the red is so bright. It looked damn good sitting there. But I would definitely have them drop the price at least 2k for the wheels rash, floor mats and scratches. If you have any questions pm me your number and I'll call you when i'm done w/ work. Oh btw the number is 328  |

Wow now this is a true forum friend! I thank you very much for going out of your way to give me the down and in depth issues. I want to thank you for your time in this! I too was thinking of offering around the 31k range just because of the distance I would have to travel to get it and drive it home.
I cant thank you enough! + Rep for you! |
Just my .02cents,I ALMOST bought a 2011 Sport/Touring Z,7at with 14K miles from these guys on Wednesday, settled on a price.

I saw the black cherry one. It was pretty nice IMO!

Dealerships executing the old bait and switch tactic? How dare they! lol
Of all the dealerships I visited years ago, they were not one of them. I haven't heard good things about this place. |
