I'm still not sure...October is a very busy month for me. That may be my only weekend to do stuff around the house plus I was just there last weekend.

Meet at the Winery (Les Bourgeois) at Noon Sunday Oct 23. The drive is around 45 min. I would say with meet, drive and food 3-4 hrs. One of the guys here knows the owner of the winery and might be able to give us a group discount on dinner. So I'm waiting to hear back from him. That would be great to see a group of you guys make it.

Meeting in rocheport at the winery at noon from my understanding
winery location: 14020 West Highway Bb, Rocheport, MO - Google Maps just type in your location in the get directions box to see how long it will take to get from your location the the winery

The winery is easy to find. From Kansas City take I-70 east. If memory serves me correctly it's exit 115(?). It's the first exit after crossing the Missouri River. Once you exit turn left (north) and it's a couple of miles on County Road BB on the left.
Just a note/observation...the winery has a very nice restaurant but 100-200 yards away is the A-Frame. It's a cool area with picnic tables, etc. and light snacks. You can bring meals from the restaurant over to enjoy there. Either location offers GREAT views of the Missouri River valley. |

Thats a great idea with the gopro. I need to get one of those.
Well I took a different route this am to see how long it would take. It was Awesome. I went south on 179 off of I-70, which takes you to Jefferson City. Then went up 54 to New Bloomfield, went west on route J to Y which comes out in Ashland. Then just up highway 63 to Columbia. The Route took right at 1.5hr. The roads have amazing turns and curves and are all newly black topped. Highway 179 is exit 111, just 4 miles west of the winery. Was just wanting to get an idea of how long people were wanting to cruise for? Does this work for everyone? or is it too long? Let me know what you guys think.. |
