This Sunday, June 23rd, the Kansas City based Heart of America Z Car Club will have two gatherings.

The first is at the Art of the Car Concours, an annual car show held on the grounds of the Kansas City Art Institute. This is across the street west of the Nelson Art Gallery and just east of The Plaza.

That Art of the Car is one of the most amazing gatherings of classic and collectible cars you'll ever see. The Concours runs from 10 am to 4 pm. There is no official time to show up...just arrive at your leisure. Here is a link: http://www.kcai.edu/events/special-e...t-car-concours

Beginning at 4 pm we'll gather at Fred P. Otts, conveniently located a few blocks west on The Plaza for post Concours food, refreshments, and overall replenishment. Ott's is located at 4770 JC Nichols Parkway.

You are welcome to join us.

My buddy sent me that too. But no. Plus would never buy some1 else Fi project.

just not worth it to me in the end. Granted is a cool car, just don't want it bad enough to deal with the payments. On top of starting fully stock all over. Cost way too much to make sense.

So guys, I have had my swifts on for about 2 weeks now and need to get an alignment done somewhere in the KC area. However, I think i need a place that offers some kind of package for unlimited alignments per car for 1 year/ 3year / 5 year or lifetime alignments. The reason being is that in about 1.5 months, I will be getting new wheels and tires and will need to do another alignment. I dont want to wait on my current tires because 1.5 months is alot of driving for me in the Z since I DD during this time. Is there a place in KC that does the alignment package for a period of time and is reasonable that you guys trust?

EDIT: Or i guess if it makes more sense just to pay for an alignment 2 times since it might be cheaper doing it that way instead of buying an alignment package for 1 year etc..

For reference, a four wheel alignment will run you about $80-$100. Depending on how many miles you plan on putting on the car between now and wheels, it may not be worth it. A little extra camber won't accelerate the tire wear much. Especially given the negative factory camber specs.

For reference, I'm about 0.5" lower than Swifts and here are my before and afters with wheels and tires:

So without front and rear camber kits, your camber difference is only going to be a couple of tenths before/after.

I had to get a "specialty" alignment ( meaning just charged me more) when had mine done due to the extra camber arms

Randy Reed Nissan - $89.95 for all four wheels. I can see them charging you the "specialty" fee like Jackson had if you decided to go with camber arms.

Their Z technician is really good and they helped me out a lot on the clutch install and issues.

Cool, I was thinking about going to them and plus with the HAZCC membership gets a discount there as well.

You can also book your appt online. Super easy, just go to the service website and fill out your info and what you want. Pick a date and time and they email you confirming.

pbkakta, You might also want to check with our sponsor Santa Fe Garage, They are located just off the Independence Square. They do a lot of specialty alignments for the SCCA Autocross and Road racing guys.

I wouldn't ever skimp on headers. So if you do want headers, either go with Fast Intentions or Momentum (whoever bought the rights, name escapes me at the moment). You can spend a little more money and get a MUCH better header.

Cheap headers nearly always have fitment issues. And sure the lifetime warranty is great, but that isn't going to cover your labor if a weld breaks. And trust me, you don't want to install headers on a VQ twice.

That being said, I would be willing to bet you won't see much for gains with these. Momentum and FI are the only ones I've heard that have made power. The stock VQ37 manifolds are built REALLY well. And for the money and install frustrations, you definitely want to make power.

Here are some pics of the VQ37 manifolds vs the VQ35's (courtesy of Boosted Performance) :

The headers I want are PPE. $1,000 price with labor I'd cry. Yea I put headers in my 350z. I already knew our headers are so much better, I just wanna max out at full bolt on. Went on the 350z forum and a 350z runs these headers and made good gains. After now pushing getting a GTR until I finish school. I'm now gonna do headers. Maybe around tax season next year. Still gotta get rims and a new exhaust.
