Got my car back just in time for the bad whether. The steering lock actuator on paper was $1300 parts and labor. Then add in the rental car and tow.

The steering lock actuator on paper was $1300 parts and labor. Then add in the rental car and tow. Probably would have cost me $1500 to $1600. But since I got the extended warranty it only cost me $150 dollars for deductible and a portion of the tow.

I don't know if this helps Jackson but I googled "Datsun 510 for sale" and a few came back. I didn't dig too deep into it to determine if ads were current, etc.
Good luck. I've laways loved the 510 either 2 door, 4 door, or wagon. |

ya, most I saw were years old. or just not right. stalking japanese nostalgic car and ratsun too. i've found a couple decent ones around. most are shells or in need or restoration. I need one thats rust free, with semi-good paint. I just don't have time for another restore, i'd rather just ditch my z and get a really one. honestly most just aren't nice enough. their out there, but now a days everyone has money again and isn't letting go of their toys |

I got a Ruger SR556 with the shorty EOtech site that is begging me to take her out but the price of ammo is crazy right now, and I don't want to burn through my stash anymore than I have!

I'm going to start hording ammo here soon, but I will get out and get some practical use out of this sucker. After I field stripped it yesterday, I realized just how rusty my old Army skills really are. Which makes me worried maybe my Jiu-Jutsu might just as rusty. There's an old samurai proverb that goes something like, "when you don't use your weapons, your blades get dull." I've been home from A'stan less than a year and I'm definitely thinking my weapons are getting dull already. |

Pround new owner
Here are a few photos of the new ride....Funny part is that I still have my old car and I can pick this one up tomorrow.
I just started the tear down this afternoon before I bought this bad b*tch. They asked for almost $46k I got it for $42k flat with a 72 month warranty, 6 years of free oil changes and a lifetime engine and powertrain warranty. All included in the final 42k price. |
