There is always the option of selling your GT-R and getting a RH drive R32 GT-R from Japan. :stirthepot:

Only if we swap payments. It's only $1060 a month...for another 48 months...

I figure what I have paid for the GTR compared to the Nismo Z. I could of easily paid for a FI kit twice. That's just in the 2 years I've own it.

Man it's been 2 years? Doesn't seem like it's been that long. Still stock?

How many miles?

Still stock and 81k. I put almost 23k in one year and about 6k in the last year.

I have been away for a while thought I would drop in and say hello. Anyway tonight I saw 2 Z's on 135th and Metcalf. Turning on metcalf to 135th going no clue where. I was in the turning lane in the blue z.

sboden 10-17-2015 03:19 AM

Well, it depends on when you saw the Z's. We gathered for the last Fast Fridays ever at KC Trends by 135th and Metcalf. I guessing you didn't see us drive to KC Trends as we were a group consisting of 1 240Z, 1 GTR, 1 350Z, and approximately 7 370Z's.

Returning member question

Is there a Z Club for the KC area? I'd like to join so at the very least, I can see another Z once in a while. I live in the Blue Springs area and there are scarce out here.

Ghostvette 11-19-2015 01:41 PM

Heart of America Z Car Club (HAZCC) is the local club, we are on Facebook @ https://www.facebook.com/groups/392729327408080/

Message Kit Lueg or go to the page and ask to join. :)

Inspector71 11-19-2015 02:34 PM

thanks

Sounds great to me

Shop recommendation

I just got to Fort Riley KS and have upgrades I want installed. Are there any reputable shops in the immediate area to KC? I do not want my Z getting hacked up. Any advice is appreciated....

ZKraken22 03-08-2016 08:53 PM

I would say modified by Kc. Look them up.

Also I was thinking one of these weekends we should get a group to drive up to Topeka and drag race!

mdzuricky77 03-09-2016 09:08 AM

Absolutely....We have training going on the next couple weekends, but we should still link up...PM me and we can exchange info...

RanRich 03-22-2016 11:06 AM

Just moved to KC from the other side of the state.

With the weather warming up, hopefully I'll get to meet you all soon and learn about some good Cars & Coffee meets/driving roads in the area.

Welcome to KC. There is an active club here HAZCC (Heart of America Z Car Club). Check us out on Facebook and join the page. This weekend we are doing a tour of Boulevard Brewing and there are some cruises coming up but it is all on the FB page.

mdzuricky77 03-28-2016 08:55 PM

Topeka Dragway

2-3 April is test and tune....anyone plan on doing some runs?

Ghostvette 03-29-2016 08:35 AM

I might go, depending on work schedule. I won't be making any runs, at least not until I TT the car, then maybe.... a very big maybe :p

edub370 03-29-2016 10:53 PM

Doubtful. I haven't done any mods since my last pulls

pbhakta 03-30-2016 10:05 AM

Looks great.

I wish I had the space to do stuff like that on my car.

tire shop

Can anyone recommend a shop in the northland of KC for getting new tires installed? With custom wheels I am a little scared of damage being done to them. I will be using tire rack to ship the tires, but depending on the installer if they participate will use them.

KC Trends, but they aren't up north. :ugh2:

Anyone ever been on MKC's dyno? (it's a Dynojet)

Crashed a Subaru meet this Saturday and with only CBE put down 290whp!

Let's get this page going again. Twisties were plentiful near the places I lived in St. Louis and Columbia but, I haven't unearthed anything here yet. Favorite driving roads in the area?

There are some great roads around here. I know a lot of roads north of Platte City. Hwy H, M, O, VV and many others. If you go to Hwy 371 (one exit north of Platte City off I-29) you will get to driving nirvana. be careful. There are a lot of surprise blind corners.

edub370 05-12-2016 02:58 PM

the best roads in the area are northeast of liberty IMO

(H to O to EE)

I saw that road on Google Maps during a slow day at work and am glad to know my suspicions are confirmed!

Labor question - has anyone gotten HFCs/Test pipes installed around here anywhere? May be picking some up soon and am curious to know what install cost would look like.

Barring an encounter with the 'demon bolt', I would guess you are looking at about an hour of labor, with a ball park guess of about $125. Hit the HAZCC FB page for the shop that offers a discount to HAZCC members. :tiphat:

Kris9884 05-14-2016 02:13 PM

I'm in Springfield MO but would gladly drive up for a meet or cruise on a weekend.. I've got an Athens blue G37S, couple breather mods, nothing earth shattering.

Edit: Crap, sorry for the giant picture

Modified By KC just quoted me $265 with a 20% increase on labor if I bring my own parts. That costs more than the part!!

Thinking I may just save the dollars and go DIY. Any of you guys have any demon bolt experiences to sway me one way or the other?

From what I've read, some folks have problems, some don't. What I would do is soak the bolts with PB Blaster or Kroil for about an hour, then use an air impact to take off the nuts. If you have access to a lift, then using a torch is an option to heat the nut red hot, then let it cool. The third option is cutting tool and new nuts and bolts.

I think the HAZCC shop is Santa Fe in Independence. Don't quote me on that, I looked yesterday, and then promptly forgot. :ugh2: It might be worth the $35 to join, rather than pay the extra 20% for Modified by KC to install stuff. I know the shop that offers the HAZCC discount is good with us bringing our own parts.

mdzuricky77 05-23-2016 01:49 PM

MKC charges way too much for labor. Be careful...
