Not sure if anyone is interested but I have a ton of tickets to NHRA Topeka divisional this weekend. compliments of aeromotive.
just let me know. |
Yea!! I get to join the elite slave cylinder failing group. I'm sure you are all jealous of my eliteness.....
I'm going with Zspeed HD CSC with an OEM master replacement while in there. Now I have to decide whether I want to upgrade the clutch or not..... |
If I do an upgrade, I'm looking at this ZSpeed Performance Nissan Infinti OEM & Performance Parts
I still have plans to FI in the future. These cars are rare to see when I travel, so I'm thinking about just giving it more umpff, paint some areas, and keep it. |

I ordered it with the upgraded lines also. Should have it on middle of the week.

Are you doing the install? Let me know when (not if) you or your installer run into bleeding issues with the CMC. I'll walk you through it.
|
Thanks. It went into a local transmission shop this morning. I can't wait to see how the new clutch and light weight flywheel feel. Labor is $510 btw. Now I'll be for ready for twin turbos as soon as I've saved the money for that. I'm looking at approximately 20K for that build......
|
Tell them to follow the CMC bleed instructions that Joe provided by the letter. Pull the pin on the clutch pedal so that it doesn't touch the push rod on the CMC at all. It's really particular..
|
Well all I can say is WOW! The lite weight flywheel is awesome. This thing rev's so easily now. With the heavier clutch and the new flywheel, I'm having to relearn how to drive the car.
Normally this flywheel would increase the transmission chatter but with the silence option you can barely hear any chatter and that is only because I was trying to listen for it directly next to a brick building. It has maybe 1/16th of the chatter noise now. |
Good deal! Keep an eye on the clutch fluid reservoir. It may fill up with clutch dust during the break in. If it starts to show black floating things or turns black, suck it out with a syringe and then refill the reservoir. Pump it a couple dozen times and then repeat. I lost pressure on mine a few times after replacement because of this. Just check it every time you get gas for the first 3-4k miles.

Sounds like couple of us are meeting up at Buffalo tonight before Fast Fridays.

Hey guys, new to the 370Z club from Olathe, KS. My wife and I just purchased a black 09 370Z Touring and, while I love it, I don't know a whole lot about it beyond what little research I could do on the interwebs. I was at Cars and Coffee this August and I'm sure I saw some of your guys' cars there, there were three or four Zs there and they all looked great. I was the one driving the 89 Jag that looked like it didn't quite belong, I hadn't picked up the Z yet at that point.
The next time you guys meet up somewhere it would be fun to buzz by and say hello, maybe I'll see you all at the next Cars and Coffee. I think I'll bring the Z this time, even though it's bone stock. |
Heading into the quiet time of the year. There is also a 370 group on facebook and The Heart of America Z car club here in Kansas City.

another "new-guy"
Hello all, Just purchased my '15 6MT Sport - and live in both Wichita and Overland Park (long story). Would love to "socialize" a bit over the Z. That said - I'm an old guy - so let me know if I'm out of my element here... lol...

Hi! ... really like your car -- love the blue. Maybe a beer sometime at the Peanut? I'd love to hear about your upgrades... and your wish list ... lol...
Tom |
I would be happy to come along as well for a bit of socializing, if some KC Z people are up for it?

Wings or BLT at the peanut...yummy.

Soooo ready to get that car out of my garage for good. Thinking of returning to the Z side after I buy a house in the next couple months. It sits in my garage and flips me off everyday I walk past it on my way to work. Not to mention the $$$$ payment every single month.

I figure what I have paid for the GTR compared to the Nismo Z. I could of easily paid for a FI kit twice. That's just in the 2 years I've own it. |
