Nuki 01-01-2013 01:22 PM

Happy new years you guys. I was at Uptown last night. Drank and danced my face off. What did everyone else end up doing?

edub370 01-01-2013 02:32 PM

Mavs game, then whiskey tangos. Paying for it today...

Acoul82, congrats on the new z. Can't wait till spring so we can get everyone together. No winter mods for me as of yet tho. What winter mods does everyone else got goin on?

Just finished installing 20mm spacers all around. Added the Stillen Gen3 intakes 2 days ago. Last but not least, i have to install the Swift springs which should round out my list of winter mods.

edub370 01-01-2013 04:01 PM

You will love the swifts. One of the best mods i have done

FI exhaust will be here in February and Boosted performance single turbo as soon as he gets the second batch done.

B&M shifter sitting on the shelf.

Nuki 01-02-2013 03:04 AM

Sticking to the plan, not sinking much money in the Z till I get her closer to paid off. Definitely the mistake I made last time and I learned from it.

Money is going towards guns and zombie preparedness items. LOL

Branson Z Fest 2013 Dates Set

The "officially official" dates for Branson Z Fest are confirmed to be May 31-June 2. These are the official dates but many people start arriving earlier in the week. You can now start scheduling your vacation. Registration and the website will be open later.

edub370 01-03-2013 01:00 PM

must make it this year! we gotta get a group together to go down

tower74 01-03-2013 02:41 PM

Well I guess all of my mods will have to wait another year to install. Just dropped a shyt ton of money on a new living room set.:tup:.

The new TV coming with the set next month will ease my pain of STILL NOT HAVING THE DAMN BODY KIT on my car. Who knows I might still be able to get it done...doubt it but I can hope.:tiphat:

Ethan, did you install the springs yourself? If so, any pointers you got. I found a DIY for installing springs , not swifts, but the process should be the same.

yea, i did the install myself. one thing i will say i did that made me alot more comfortable is got a spring compressor with a locking pin.

something like this:

Performance Tool Professional Strut Spring Compressors W89322 - SummitRacing.com

made me feel like i wasn't handling a loaded gun. i would start with the fronts, as those will be the most difficult. took me about 3-4 hours. Its nothing too difficult, jsut kinda time consuming.

backs require 1 bolt to get out, and will probably take 20 min to do both. if u need a hand, just gimme a holler and i can come help

Nuki 01-07-2013 05:06 PM

I need to join already. I've been a bit of a recluse since coming home from Afghan. Talked to the wife and she's still keen to join us on an outing sooner or later, if she can ever get some time off work.

As an aside, I'm loving this weather.

edub370 01-07-2013 05:37 PM

bleh, it needs to be warm and sunny again. ya we can get a few people to go and support hazcc next time

Nuki 01-08-2013 11:18 AM

Hey who do we know that has a grey 350Z with an Extreme Dimensions Vader style hood? May be a Seibon VT CF hood.

aCoul82 01-13-2013 04:29 PM

pbhakta 01-14-2013 12:17 PM

U bet, would love to see some of the mods everyone has made in person to consider doing on my car. My last car was an RSX type S. I had CAI, headers, CBE, pulleys, and an ECU tune

Nuki 01-15-2013 03:23 AM

Welcome aCoul. I'm new around the city and on this board, and I can tell you these guys here are a wonderful bunch of people. Our group is small, but very friendly.

It's not the size of the group, it's the way you use it.:icon23:

Welcome aCoul....There seems to be a few more people going towards FI on their Z's here in KC. I'm still the only one but hoping to have some others soon. Also with the UpRev issue being solved and that we have one close to home will help us keep pushing the mods foward. Good luck and love the car!

oh and should be vinyl wrapping the z when it gets a lil warmer, ordering some sample colors today. just can't decide

Lemers 01-15-2013 03:59 PM

Do you have a short list of colors?

JacksonZ33 01-15-2013 04:05 PM

here's the hexis vinyls, also like the 3M dark grey

http://www.hexis-graphics.com/fichie...00_Colours.jpg

if i dont like the hexis teal, then ima go with some shade of matte grey

Lemers 01-15-2013 04:11 PM

That's cool. Why not wrap it in one of the carbons or real tree from bass pro shop?

Could have been me, I take 435 EB to Metcalf for work. But I know there is at least 1 more close bc I work on the Sprint campus and I've seen it in my same garage.
