I believe it's an annual COMMA membership and maybe a fee for first time drivers, but it's well worth it. They have a class and instructors for every person. They'll ride with you and help, or even drive your car. This really helped me because it allowed me to see how to drive my car and trust it. That's one thing is trying to find the limit.

They space your start, but you're all out there and there's definitely some "racing" going on. There is no corner passing, but there are 3 straights. Most people are good at pointing to pass, but it's not required. When I went there were 3 classes Driver Education, Intermediate, and Advanced. The advanced guys were full on racers or track built cars: 240Z, mustangs, vettes, porches, and that day a Lambo LP 760.

In the DE we had a huge mix of cars: 350Z's, GTR, Vettes, Hondas, EVO, Mustang GT500. I was the fastest all day in the DE besides the GTR. At first we were within 2 seconds, but in the end he had my by about 5. He was boosted 200 Hp over stock and I just couldn't match the grip and Hp that car has, but I out drove him. Give me slicks, brakes, and an ECU and I'd have him.

You're first time there you definitely want new racing fluid and take extra. Take some old or extra pads as well. If you're not on Brembo's, just don't out drive your car. I used Stoptech HP Street pads and Powerslot blank rotors with ATE super blue. I was at the limit of my stock setup and the Z32 is a little heavy. Both 350's boiled there fluid and went off track. They have speed shop, but the prices are inflated of course.

Youtube Hallett and you'll see all types of stuff. I'll try and put some pics up.

Here's a few photos from the event. The EVO was annoying. Just kept drag racing us out of the corners. He had me on straight line speed and must have been boosted way up. Kept almost running in to him in the corners. Finally got around him. GTR guy kept asking how my car was so fast, and just kept telling him it's stock with an intake and exhaust.

It's addicting. Let me know if you end up going.
Here's one of the start grids for DE
