Hey guys I just wanted to give you the heads up on our group of Zs. We are a group based in the North Central part of the state extending northeast into the Chicagoland area. Our group is very active and hold meets on a regular basis during the warm months.

I am in Peoria, Il.

There is a big car scene in Peoria. I go to some of their meets. The bigger Z crowd is in Chicago though.

We have a meet on Sunday, July 31st at Busse Woods in Elk Grove Village, Illinois (next to Schaumburg) from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Come by if you can.

Be there at 2 because they guys like to go get lunch and then for a cruise after.

Where exactly? I'd love to drop by.

Any challenging cruises coming up? I don't mean driving around suburbia, but hitting some technical roads out northwest or wi.

Our next meet is at Busse Woods in Elk Grove Village (the boat entrance). At that entrance you immediately turn left past the big yellow gate and we congregate before the roundabout. It will be on Sunday, August 21st. We usually hang out, talk to other 350/370 car enthusiasts, take pictures, get lunch and then from there we plan on going to a bigger local car meet located 25 minutes away.

Most of the Z guys are in the Chicagoland area and are too lazy or won't drive all the way to Peoria. I know I usually do go but this last one I couldn't do to work.

Not yet, but I'd like to check out the Galena area sometime soon.

Hey everyone,

Just picked me up a modified Z (rebuilt title), 73K miles and I need some help/guidance.

The car came with a true dual Stillen exhaust system and Takeda cold air intake, rims and its lowered like 2 inches. I got the car checked out by my mechanic before buying it and everything was OK.

Here are some questions I was hoping to get help with ....

GOAL: To make my Z a semi-daily driver (I have a beater with 225K miles for winter) that is excellent at handling. I've owned a 2007 350z before which I kept stock but the focus here is to drive this thing to make it handle as sharp as a Porsche or M3 because I love handling!

1- Where are there good mechanics in the Naperville/Aurora area that can do alignment? I have 285's in rear and 245 in the front

2- Any good performance shops in the western suburbs?

3- Any folks out in Naperville/Aurora that can connect with me?

I'm also in the Aurora/Naperville area sounds like you have a decent starter Z gotta add some swaybars & will feel more planted, any shop can do a basic alignment, wouldnt fret

Wonder if I've seen you around before, I pass that Shell gas station on New York a few times a week haha

I'm behind the Shell on NY and Eola and got my Z last week :happydance:. If you've seen me it's early morning 6am or late night Sunday is when I fill up gas over there.

It's a bit out of our way. What part of IA are you in?

Not as of lately. We are planning a Season Closer end of this month though.

I'll be on the lookout for that info, I don't have a FB or any social media really so I rely on this forum
