Sven? Where are you?

Anybody in Minnesota and/or the Twin Cities here with the new 370? I haven't seen that many on the road. Post up if you're alive and depressed! My Z is already in garage hibernation. Sucks...

Am from MN but I do not have a 370Z yet. Am planning to buy in a month or two. I will be driving it in the middle of winter in January!!

SmoothZ 11-20-2009 07:12 PM

You're crazy! Get a white one! lol

azn1515 11-28-2009 08:38 PM

I think not..Minnesotans know that its mostly cocky SUV drivers that end up in ditches. With proper snow tires and driving at 20 mph in 50 mph areas, I reckon I will be ok..lol!!!!
I know you miss your Z. Maybe I will give you a ride when I buy it January just to ease the pain..

SmoothZ 11-29-2009 10:31 AM

True statement about those cocky drivers. Just because they're born here doesn't mean they can drive.

Can't wait to see your Z and feel the power. Maybe we'll all be lucky and have a short, mild winter.

azn1515 11-29-2009 11:58 AM

Also, white is my color of choice but no dealerships here have this. Trust me I have checked. I might just import from another state thru Kline Nissan in Maplewood.
With the mild weather, we are having right now, I am just afraid that winter is just being pushed out to may..lol! But, I am with you that hopefully, it will be short and mild.

SmoothZ 11-29-2009 07:03 PM

I'm sure that by January, they'll have one white Z. I assume you've been calling around or checking online inventories. I could swing by the B-ville dealership to see if they have one there. Might give me an excuse to sit in one that isn't stored away for the winter and under a cover.

BTW, mine is white and was the floor queen at the dealership so I'm glad I got a Z that was indoors over the winter.

azn1515 11-30-2009 05:30 PM

Thanks for the offer, smooth. Yeah , if you can swing by the Burnsville dealership, I would appreciate it.
Your white 350Z is beautiful and I reckon more so in person. I like the canard wings on the front bumper and your rims complete the look.

SmoothZ 12-07-2009 08:23 PM

I searched 5 different dealerships online before I saw that Morrie's has one in stock. It's a Touring with the Sport pkg and 6MT. I wonder how long that's been in the inventory.

Yeah, I found this unit also. But red is not my color. The silver touring with Nav of Kline is becoming the top seed in my book.
BTW, driving in snow tonight almost swayed me to consider the Acura TL SH-AWD. I still love the 370Z, though!

SmoothZ 12-09-2009 08:04 AM

Patience, my man! Don't settle, just wait it out.

I thought about trading in my TSX for the SH-AWD 6MT. But its a bit too pricy.

Ordering a Roadster next week

I'm ordering a 370Z Roadster next week and I drove the two that are at Kline in Maplewood (silver and black). They are really smooth and I think the roadster is quieter than the coupe. In Sept I drove the red 09 coupe at Morries. It was nice but I like the upgraded NAV package in the '10's. I drove a red 2010 Roadster in Norfolk a couple of weeks ago when I was there. They made some welcome improvements over the 09 NAV package.

It should be delivered around the 1st of April... hopefully the snow's GONE by then!

SmoothZ 12-21-2009 07:14 PM

I was at Walser on Saturday and didn't see one Z or R35. That cash for clunkers really cleaned the lot out.

azn1515 01-15-2010 05:25 PM

Hey Smooth, I will not be buying a Z at all. Wifey opined that the Z is impractical for our needs as she drives a convertible already.
So, a compromise was reached. We will increase my budget and get a performance sedan. My avatar will tell you my choice. Hint, if BMW has the M cars, Lexus would have ___? Another hint is that it has 416 horses..

shabarivas 01-15-2010 05:35 PM

Ehhh dont get the stupid ISF... those are slow as garbage... If you are going to drop that kind of coin why not a GTR? or a M3 Sedan?

GTR is above my budget and I'd rather have Japanese reliability. 4.2 seconds 0-60 according to C&D is not slow. Anyways, thanks for the suggestions anyways.

I'm very sad. It would have been cool to bring another Z into the club.

Who cares about practicality? I store mine during the winter. Luckily, work provides me a car year round. And I have a minivan as the family car.

Yeah, am sad as well as I love the Z. BUT my IS-F would be similar though a little bit more luxurious.
I still love the Z.

Who is this perv stalking ya?:shakes head:

LMAO!

He's okay. We're part of a new clique. Frost and I relate.

frost 01-27-2010 09:11 PM

Besides, this isn't a board for sedan owners. You got two doors too many.

azn1515 01-27-2010 09:50 PM

Oh ok..sorry Frost.

Have a good nyt, smooth and frost..

Just took delivery of my new 370Z Roadster.. I drove it home Saturday, perfect roads. Glad I did since they're a mess now. It's now in storage until the snow takes a hike... There's a "Z" car show event at Morries Nissan in June I'm told. What other "Z" events are going on this summer in the Twin Cities?

:hello: Glad to see another Z enthusiast! Yes, Morries hosts a Z car show every June.

As for other events, we usually organize cruises to cool locations within a 2 hour radius of the cities. We also get together for Cars and Coffee, grill parties, and whatever else we can think of.

I think we're set to plan another Spring meet for the year. The last couple of years have been good, so we've got a tradition to uphold. I'll be sure to post that up when the time comes.

Saw a beautiful yellow 370Z today in Apple Valley. :yum: I waved.

SmoothZ 07-10-2010 03:04 PM

Spotted a black one the other day. It's nice to see more of them driving around.
