Indy Z Car Club meeting - second Thursday of the Month.

Just a heads up for Z car owners and admirers in the central Indiana area:

On the second Thursday of each month Indy Z Car Club meets.

We welcome everyone!

This Thursday (April 9th) we're meeting at the North End BBQ and Moonshine, located at 1250 East 86th Street on the north side of Indy. They serve more than BBQ, and have a good adult beverage selection.

(South on Meridian/31 from 465, then the third stop light east on 86th Street. The building is at the front of the shopping area. The door is on the corner of the building and blends in a bit too well.)

The meeting starts at 7pm. We're going to be in the private room.

We will be starting a series of presentations on the generations of the Z Car. This month will feature the basic history of Datsun, Nissan, and the Z, complete with commentary on "The Goertz Controversy". The presentation will include information about the 240Z, 260Z, and 280Z.

The private room has a television where we intend to show a pictorial presentation to complement the oral presentation. The entire presentation will be available afterwards in pdf format. (If club members add information during the presentation, the file will be emailed after that information is included.)

So, come on by. Learn about what IZCC is doing to promote the Z. We have events we plan to attend as a group and events we host during the year. We hope you'll want to join, but that's not a requirement.

The next IZCC event:

The IZCC has decided to attend the Gateway Classic Cars Spring Fling, on May 9th at their Indianapolis location at 4400 W. 96th Street. We would like to invite our central Indiana Z Facebook friends to join us. Please email a RSVP to IZCC@indyzcarclub.org in order for us to save a Z parking space. The event goes from 9AM until 5PM. It is not necessary to stay this entire time. Classic cars, vendors, music and food! All proceeds will benefit Shriners Hospitals for Children. Entry is “free”, but a minimum donation of $5. is suggested. There will be over 70 classic cars for sale, so bring money and lots of it.

Indy Z Car Club has returned to the Rusty Bucket for our meetings.

1130 West 86th Street

We're in the private meeting room to the left of the main area.

Still on the second Thursday of the month - every month with the possible exception of December. The public meeting starts at 7pm. Drop by, all are welcome. It's a good opportunity to check us out and see if you'd like to join the club.

We try to go to Indy Cars and Coffee as a group one weekend a month during the warmer months. We have club cruises during the summer. We encourage participation in the Midwest Z Heritage car show - circulating among five clubs in the Indiana/Illinois/Ohio/Michigan area.
