Need good Tire Shop in HR to get my tires changed

Looking for a Tire Shop that knows and have the equipment to change the 370Z tires knowing how sensitive and prone to scratches the OEM wheels/rims are. Post or send me an IM if you have used a shop and have not messed your wheels/rims in the HR area not VA Beach if possible. Thanks!

Took mine to Merchants on vb blvd down by little neck road. I know there are a couple of other places the other guys recommend as well.

Little bit of a hole in the wall but they do great work. I found out about them through Tidewater Z. They have put tires on my OEM Rays and Volk Racing G2s. Their tire/wheel balancing is track worthy. It is the place I took my G2s to after Atlantic Autosports in VA Beach failed to properly balance my G2s 3 times, wheels vibrated at 55mph and over. Alloy Wheel got it right the first time and the balance was good for speeds well over 100mph (HPDE). They were also able to fix my one of my tires when I picked up a nail close to the sidewall. However I have never ordered tires through them so I can not comment on what they are able to do in that category.

Is Tidewater Z still meeting in VA Beach? Looking for a Z Club for next year even that I know they are more old school Z type....

Need to get back in the game, been out for a few.

BTW meant to say Tidewater Z Auto Service in my last post.

TZCC meetings are at Mario's Italian Restaurant in Portsmouth every 2nd Monday of the month. I'm still the only active Z34 member (that I know of) and I'm gone most of the time. It might not be what you are looking for at the moment.

I highly recommend Professional Rim Repair in Chesapeake. Chris (the owner I believe) and his guys do great work and they have high end equipment. Have used them several times for different reasons and have been satisfied every single time. Great group of people. Don't go to the franchise places, they suck and don't care about people's cars.

Typical blanket statements like this are often wrong. The last two "independent" shops I went to were hacks. One of them I sued and won a $13,500 settlement + 10% per annum in interest because he practically destroyed my car. Franchise companies are fully insured, have resources to provide fixes for anything they do screw up (as long as fault is proven, but same goes for an independent shop as well) and are generally bound to a particular level of service and one can usually come to a conclusion about how that franchise location operates based on the reviews left by others. As long as MOST of the reviews are in favor, you generally won't go wrong. If it is 50/50 mixed. Steer clear. Any worse than that you are just choosing poorly. I give credit where it is due. I don't care if it franchise or otherwise. Business is business. Do it well and I'll go back.

Finally a bought the tires a year later after my post.

European Cars in Williamsburg have the equipment to do it. They told me that they have the touch less tire changing machine, however since my car is not European they cannot work on the car.

And they are like 10 minutes from my house....

What a bunch of azzholes!!!!!!!!

Any other Shop than the one mentioned by VABAM in Newport News or Hampton?

Thanks!
