I am working on getting a used oil cooler now, so I plan to have that taken care of prior to heading up that way.

Yep, we always book the next years when we checkout! Bryan did say we have the entire resort this year, except for the people who actually live there.

From talking to the people at Fontana and some of the organizers, last year we only had about ~70% of the Fontana Village reserved for ZDays attendees. This year is was supposed to be 100% to accomodate everyone. I know it usually sells out and people either pile in cabins or have to go back to like Robinsville.

I m looking forward to going this year and be being able to see more 370z's. I will warn you, we took our '09 Touring Sport up there last year. I didn't have any problems with oil temps, although I wasn't red lining it either. It will be tough to do that anyway as it will be packed unless you get up ungodly early. ;-)

Yeah this year's event is going to be incredible with all the new 370Z's out there!! I will have like 3 GoPro's mounted to my car at all time. :)

Lou,

You definitely want to stay at the resort.

Smoky Mountain Cabin Rentals - Fontana Village Resort

You should call asap to make a reservation, even if your not sure you are going. Although there is a cancellation fee, they will transfer reservations for free (at least they have in the past). If you think you can get a a group together from St. Louis then the cabin is definitely the way to go.

I have a room at the lodge (not a cabin), probably 75% sure I'll be there but if I can't make it, I'll post it on the forums and someone will snatch it up.

If the resort is booked, then you may be able to room at the hole-in-the-wall Microtel or someplace like that, in Robinsville. There are also Bead and Breakfasts in the area, and smaller resorts - although some are pricey.

I am getting a cabin so lou if you need a place to stay let me know.

I think Xiven will be staying with me. This is open to anyone who hasnt found a place to stay.

I have room for 2 more people besides me and Xiven.

bullitt5897 02-09-2010 11:47 AM

if there are 4 people in my cabin it will be like $50 a night each.

We have about 5 folks planning to caravan down from Detroit on Thursday. (I just spotted the thread on the main page and thought I'd crash it. : )
