Need some help! :)

It's warming back up, and it's time to bring the Z back out. Im curious as to what I should do this spring.

Coilovers and sway bars?
Wheels?
Shine amuse kit?

Need some input :)

Also, anyone do the painted headlight mod and want to help me some weekend? I'm willing to supply food and beers :)

B:ughdance:

I say go for suspension first. Check out Koni Yellows with Swift Springs if you do not plan on tracking.

Hotchkis or Whiteline for Sways.

Good luck.

Any opinion on the BC Racing coilovers offered on here. Got quoted at $1065 shipped for coilovers and rear spc camber arms.

Jasonle 03-23-2014 11:08 AM

I have Bc coilovers and love them. That's a good deal.

Awesome! Thanks man. I've heard good things. I think I'm gonna go with those and the hotchkis swaybars to start the spring off right.

400 bucks on amazon with 2 day shipping :bowrofl:

I have the hookup on getting your tail lights painted, I have in my opinion one of the best painters/body repairman in MD up in baltimore. Let me know, he did mine a blood red, its pretty sick. (painted).

I've been told that replacing the stock front sway bar with an Eibach sway bar will make a huge difference in handling, without being overkill. Many would suggest the Hotchkis for heavy track use.

I've ridden in TakJak2's car when he was using the Stillen front sway bar (less rigid than the Eibach) only and we hit turns fast enough to reorganize the organs in my chest cavity.

**TakJak2 also has a roll cage, awesome seats with 5pt harnesses (can't remember the brands off the top of my head), and tracks his car regularly.

absolutely.. no doubt about it.

takjak2 03-24-2014 06:04 PM

I now have the hotchkis swaybar and boy is it stiff. Great for track, not sure if I would recommend the set for a street only car. So join us on track!

I cooked a break piston seal at NJMP this weekend, so I won't be out this weekend

lol.

In other news, I ordered BC Racing coilovers and a hotchkiss swaybar set.

tiger123 03-26-2014 04:20 PM

Nice.

Good luck with them. When is their expected arrival?

I just got my Berk HFC's delivered yesterday. Looking forward to installing them this weekend.

Brian370 03-26-2014 06:19 PM

Already got the sways in. The coilovers will be in next week.

tiger123 03-26-2014 06:58 PM

How's the ride with the new Sways?

Tigger 03-26-2014 10:13 PM

I don't really do any tracking but I have the Hotchkis sways and mine is a DD. I love 'em. But I tend to take all the corners fast so I consider sways a necessity.

Haha awesome. :)

I also have 2 more people that want to do the headlight mod. Maybe we can get a small group together and all do it at once?

Any takers on this?

I'd be interested in doing this as long as one of the folks involved has successfully done this before. I'm a little nervous about damaging expensive headlights!

I'm on the same boat here man. The reason i want a group to do it is so we can have a little direction as we go. I know some guys in the Mid-A have done it. Anyone that's successfully done it want to help? :)

Tell me if you run into Robert Crawford, or a guy named Lytle there...
