Seriously Chris, you have the worst luck with this stuff. I guess NoVA is just full of azzholes :icon17:

There is truth to this. Most people in NOVA buy the Z for image. They can't afford a 911 and its the closest thing to a 911. Most everyone here is rich and has a 911 so if you aren't rich you need to try to fit in. Hence the Z.

The small group of us that aren't dbags end up in MAZOC. For every one MAZOC Z there are probably 15 non MAZOC Zs. Many of them are even modded but have no interest in associating with us.

I have given up reaching out to them. If you think Chris has it bad try walking up to a Z owner when you are in your 5.0 or S2K. Talk about douchebaggery.

So I was reading the latest SCCA Sports Car magazine this morning and I saw a MAZOC member was featured in it for Stock C in the Washington D.C. region.

I believe a couple of us met her at the Columbia meet a while back, she drives a chicane yellow Z.

Technically speaking, I am not a MAZOC Z :tiphat:

Has a MAZOC member physically touched you in the last 6 months? If so, you're MAZOC whether you like it or not! :bowrofl:

And that's why you're in MAZOC

Gainesville/Haymarket in particular are pretty bad. Theres a ton of 350's, and a good amount of 370's. The TWO 370 owners I met outside of MAZOC were very polite, but just werent into the whole car scene, and just drove the car because they liked it. I guess the same reason I bought my Pilot awhile back, I had some "off roading" guys come up to me and be like "hey are you part of so and so forum?" and I would just tell them its just a daily driver and it gets me from point a to point b.

Suprisingly, I get a lot of stang owners waving at me...???

Because we're nice and want to meet you behind Starbucks.

:icon17:

I see a ton of 370s every day. Early on I really tried engaging a lot of them whenever I could. Like you said, some were nice but just had no interest in the car scene, others were just total dbags. I've pretty much given up because 99% of the time the driver just doesn't care about cars or is a total ahole.

I'll be back in Woodbridge next week so I might try to see if I can engage any of the Zs out there to see if it's any different. I've seen a bunch of 370s out there with Stillen front bumpers but can't associate them with anyone on the forum that I know of.
