That's right! Monday, September 2nd from 2pm - 6pm I'll be hosting a BBQ at my humble abode.

Where? - Chesapeake, VA - Please send a PM if you plan on attending and you'll get an address and directions.

What? - A BBQ, of course! Bring food! Doesn't mean everyone grab a bag of chips. You want burgers? Bring hamburger. You want a steak? Bring steak. No free-loaders. Beer? Yup. Sure. Bring some. Cigars? Absolutely!!! Scotch? I'm running low but if someone wants to bring a bottle of McCallan 12 or 18 year, that will do just fine. Thanks! :tup:

This is an apartment complex so please remember that we must have respect for the neighbors. That's all I'm going to say on that topic.

There will still be PLENTY of parking as this place is still largely uninhabited (new construction). So everyone will be able to get a spot and likely be able to line up on the back row without a problem.

After the BBQ if anyone is still left over and wants to go for a drive then we can do that too. The obligatory stop at Starbucks will be in order.

So I have about five people coming so far. Seems like it's going to stay pretty small and that is a good thing but the offer remains open to any locals here on the forum. Even if you want to just show up to meet people and hang out. Hopefully at least one owner with a Z shows up or the Acura guys will have put you all to shame. ;)

Yup. Very serious. Problem is when one person says they can't make it, it turns into some kind of chain reaction where another person is like "Oh well let me know if anyone else shows up and then when everyone does it., no one shows up. They killed it because of that mentality.

I've been trying to get something going down here and get people to become more social for nearly 5 years now. Dont know why this is so difficult but it is the beach but people here just don't do anything. Rather annoying. But you know what, it's fine. Forced me to do some shopping and now I have food for a couple of weeks and I'm stocked up on beer again. Will I attempt to host again? Likely not. I think I wasted enough time already.
