What's up! from DE.

Hey everyone, names Chris.

Little background on me:

Been in a lot of cars over the past few years hoping I would like one and stick with it, but the truth is I like changing things up.

List of cars/toys in the last 4 years:

2000 subaru 2.5rs
2006 subaru wrx limited
2005 subaru sti
2007 subaru legacy spec b
2010 Mitsubishi Evo X gsr
2012 Tacoma Trd offload
2006 Yamaha r6 raven
2003 100th anniv HD Softtail standard

I really enjoyed Subaru but always had a desire to get back into RWD after spending my first 10 years in domestic Rwd's. I'm not a professional but I have rebuild many cars over the years. Cars such as Messerschmidts, sunbeams, e type jags, old bentlys, Datsun z's, all sorts of triumphs, 3000gt, GSX eclipse, Saab turbos, Willys jeepsters, old American muscle and even some offroad beasts.

When I got into Subaru's in 2008 I really found my love for Forced induction and I even did a bit of tuning myself. I'm no whiz but I understand the basics. I eventually wanted to get into auto cross but I didn't want to do it in AWD, so I put a down on the Subaru Brz because i wanted a rwd, it was new, and when it arrived I took it for a ride. Loved how it handled but it just did have the pep that I was used to. So I broke down and got a Tacoma because I knew they are great trucks and every man should have a truck. After about a year of it I got bored (should have got the 6mt) so I sold it and picked up my 2009 370z 6mt. Gotta say, I really enjoy this car, it's light, nimble and plenty of power... For now :) FI to come in the near future.

Anyhow, if you actually read through I just wanted to say hello to everyone and I will try to be active here and represent the saddest little state around.

:welcome: and that is quite a nice list of former rides. I'm dying to get a subie myself. :(

I want a Blue 2003 sedan, WRX/STI doesn't matter as I'd build them the same either way. But finding one untouched is hard... Most have 150k+ mi.

Yeah, bugeye was my favorite style. Unfortunately one of the reasons I went away from Subaru was the kids. People just don't know how to treat cars and everyone wants a turbo out of the box car these days. I'll keep an eye out for ya. I still regular the nasioc forums.

In my area (South Central PA) it's RSXs and Integras. :shakes head: Civics are everywhere so that's a given.. I'm a fan of the RSX, not so much the integra, but when you see the same POS over and over again... it loses it's luster. :shakes head:

I haven't seen a quality rsx since they were discontinued. Good looking car too :( it's a shame.

If you want a bugeye, you're getting a wrx. The 04 was the first USDM Sti.

Welcome Brewhaha (aka Chris).. watch the forums, events coming up you'll wanna attend, i.e. the BBQ...always an excellent time!

Welcome to the forum! I have been a member since I bought my Z in March 2010. I was not very active until the last six months or so. If you have the Mod bug, you found the right place! I thought I was happy with my Z, but this group has been successful as showing me different mods and how well they have worked out. Good group of guys (and gals) involved with MAZOC. Hopefully you can make it to some events that we have.

Car looks great!
