The video was pretty badass though... i hate to admit.

Sorry, no. Nothing is 'pretty badass' about doing doing that kind of thing in public. Acts like that is what give enthusiasts a generalized bad name. If this was done at say one of our Columbia or FFX meets you can be sure that our Mazoc meets would be ruined because of it.

I didnt say I would have done this.. I agree with you, but I thought the video was badass, my opinion, im entitled to it, thanks.

And lets not act like we're ALL saints here in the Mazoc, with all the "spirited" driving people like to do.. just sayin.

Never said you weren't entitled to one, just like I'm entitled to mine.

True, I agree we do spirited driving but not in crowded places like the mall where chances for fender benders with the general public are higher. When's the last time you saw someone at our meets do burnouts or drift through corners?

Our spirited cruises are nothing like whats shown on that video. Yea we get up fast and do over the speed limit but not like this lol. We tend to reserve our stints on back roads away from other cars.

eastwest2300 05-20-2013 11:21 AM

Im not seeing the difference, you're talking about the public's perception of car enthusiasts.. (i believe those are the words you used). spirited driving could get someone hurt even killed, right?

whats the difference? One's ok, and the others not?

eastwest2300 05-20-2013 11:22 AM

im just saying..

eastwest2300 05-20-2013 11:23 AM

Im not saying what they did was right, and warranted, and I definitely dont condone what they did, but I also wont bash them either, if you read the article, tickets and warnings were issued.

Neither is technically "ok" since both are crossing into the other side of the law. My point is our group tends to not do this sort of thing in crowded areas where chances of catching heat or worse are higher.

Our group is pretty good at self policing as to not draw negative attention to ourselves.

Masa 05-20-2013 11:28 AM

You're absolutely right, no one in our group are saints but we don't bring heat on ourselves like this.

Imagine if someone were to pull off this kind of stunt at the past AAM Open House. I bet Khoi and the rest of the AAM guys wouldn't appreciate it all too much lol.

Enough said..

My point exactly.

eastwest2300 05-20-2013 12:03 PM

Bashing these guys for the stunt they pulled and not looking at ourselves would be a hypocrisy.
