Anyone free to help me Sunday, May 5th?
Need to do three things (two of which I have no experience with):
1) Install Z1 SS clutch and brake lines and upgrade the brake fluid 2) Install Z1 breather hoses to replace the ones I currently have on. 3) Pull my coolant tank and plastidip it black. This one's easy except I need to figure out how the hell to get the tank detached without spraying coolant anywhere I have no idea how long all 3 of these things together will take although I would speculate I will need multiple coats of plastidip on the coolant tank but that can be drying while we do other things. Any takers? Worst case, I can have a shop do it but I'd like to learn how to do some of this stuff myself.

That's a lot dude...I'd be looking at more of a whole weekend to do that and do it right. Always need to plan for **** to break and figment issues.
But go for it if someone can take the time to help. I would if you weren't 2 hours away.

Brake fluid and lines may take a few hours. Wheels need to come off, perhaps rotors too, fluid has to be bled out, new fluid has to be worked through the system, with care taken to get all air out of the system. (Also always important to not get any brake fluid on your paint).
The reservoir probably won't take long. It's easy to get off and empty. I'm not sure on "breathers". If that means post-maf tubes, it also won't take long. But I'd give it a whole weekend for all three, just in case. I can't help, but that'd be my estimate for time involved |

The other wrinkle is that my wheels are powdered so I'm not sure if that makes it any more/less difficult.

Yes, those. I actually have a set but the shop cut them and reinstalled the factory sound baffles (o_O) instead of just leaving them off. To be fair, I didn't specify so I bought another set.

This should only take a few hours from what I'm looking at. 5-6 hours on the high side.

Yeah I don't see any of this being much of a problem. I mean the only thing I'm concerned about is procmtecting your wheels and were just gonna wrap our sockets so they dont scratch anything.

Having a lift is a HUGE plus. This should go pretty easy. When you're ******* with the brake/clutch lines I want to see how to do this as I'll need to be able to do it in the future.

Well we don't have a lift but the jack/ stands we use get the car pretty high off the ground. This should be cake
