Absolutely none! It makes ride and handling much much worse.

Thanks. Coming from someone with so many rep points, I'll take that as a authoritative answer. ;)

NO DISRECPECT to this member for posting his car on this thread Nissan 370Z Forum - Marcin's Album: my Z :).
But I like what I see.

No hate or disrespect, but I don't like it at all. They're nice wheels, but it's like wearing an Armani suit like a baggy pair of jeans with the waistline around your knees and your boxers showing. It's how to ruin a sports car.

That's it! I couldn't put my finger on it. It looks broken.

I dont know why people are hating on these dudes, its their ride, let them do what they want to it, me personally, I could care less what others do to their rides, dumb or not, its their sh1t not mine.. Just saying.. They like it, so let em like it.

I didn't mean for it to sound like I was hating on anybody. I agree that it's their ride and they can do what they want. I think it would look interesting on a show car, but not something I'd want in a streetable car.
I wouldn't be at all surprised to find out that the hellaflush crowd isn't impressed by my Plain Jane ride. ;)

eastwest2300 12-03-2012 07:16 PM

Yeah, its just two different taste in cars, me personally, I actually like it. A car thats slammed on the ground, thats pretty cool. Just my 2 cents.

b1adesofcha0s 12-03-2012 07:34 PM

the problem is that all this ridiculous amounts of camber actually makes the car a lot more unstable and dangerous to drive. There's a difference between being slammed and having 60 degrees of negative camber with stretched tires.

eastwest2300 12-03-2012 07:37 PM

who cares? why does it bother YOU so much, its their car, they can do whatever they want to it, Im pretty sure they realize that its fvcking up their ride, but maybe, just maybe they're doing it because they want to..

eastwest2300 12-03-2012 07:39 PM

Blades im not trying to jump on you or anybody on here, but to clown these guys for doing this sorta thing is just dumb.. (again, my personal opinion, im entitled to it)

I care!

When their **** starts breaking and coming off, it will be my car or others that pay the price from driving behind them or around them. They are a moving road hazard!

Because if they get into an accident on the road they don't just put themselves in danger, they put everyone else on the road in danger. Car enthusiats in general have a tendency to drive a little fast, which means an accident is more likely and potentially more catastrophic. I don't care what they do with their care, I'm just saying I think it's stupid.

Motorcyclists and tourists (that dont know where the hell they're going) are little more dangerous than a guy in a car dropped.. And I can assure you they're probably not driving like idiots with the roads as bad as they are.

Looks about the same and has the same functionality so I see no difference.

urdeliveryguy 12-03-2012 10:29 PM

i have to admit though.. some cars look really good. even though there not functional.

chieuxuan 12-03-2012 10:32 PM

Especially those big boy long body ;)

TreeSemdyZee 12-03-2012 11:31 PM

I'm pretty sure i invented this look thirty years ago when i inadvertently "Dukes of Hazarded" a station wagon I was driving. Lots of camber and lots of tow out too. Made a hella cool squealing as it went down the road.

My Wife and I car watch as much as we people watch. More power to them, I can laugh at their ridiculous looking car. And in 10 years, when they look at it, they can laugh too.

I am a much larger fan of function. It pains my logical mind to see a sports car laden with rims and tires that clearly do not fit "correctly". What's nearly as bad is watching all those 90's trucks with every glue on exterior mod known to man with their 14" tires sticking out the wheel well because their retarded offsets and spacers. I don't understand it. Hey Jackass, how about you kick up more rocks? Wish I can find a picture.

I know you're not from this area, but in Manassas va, those sorts of trucks (and even cars) that you just explained are literally more common than even Accords and Civics.

Its like driving throught another country in that city.

Same here. My engineering mind is always like "WTF why would you do that?"

Jordo! 12-04-2012 08:25 AM

Fashion over function.

Now, whether or not you like it is a mater of taste...

But... keep in mind, part of the "art" or style is to see how far you can go, which is why you will see some cars that border on the cartoonish.

In other words -- it's more of an art project than a vehicle, after a certain point, and that's where it will start to get a bit silly.
