ZDayZ X (May 16-19th, 2013)

Alright MAZOC fans, I know, its still six months away but this is a good time for those who are not aware of ZDayZ or have not made plans yet to attend to begin to do so. Each year ZDayZ gets bigger and bigger and this means you need to plan sooner rather than later, or risk not getting a room/cabin at the village resort. The MAZOC group typically caravans down a few days early. Several of us are actually departing on Sunday the 12th to enjoy a few extra days of the Great Smoky Mountains and the Dragon a little early. Reasons to attend ZDayZ First: The Tail of the Dragon. One of the most exciting and fun roads in the country to drive. Consisting of 318 S-turns in 11 miles, it will subject you to various turns and elevations changes all combined at some extremely off kilter moments to test your driving skills. When you complete your first run on the Dragon you will know just what makes the Z worth every penny you spent to own it. Second: ZDayZ, the event. Take over 750 Nissan Z, G and GTR enthusiasts from all over the country and bring them together in the mountains of North Carolina and you have the combination for one heck of a time! Whether participating in the many events that are put together, driving the many excellent roads, or just chillin' and grillin', you can't help but have a fun and relaxing time. With that in mind start planning now! There will likely be a separate thread for MAZOC fans to sign up for a caravan down in the coming months. In the mean time start making your plans (requesting vacation time, reserving your room or cabin, etc.). Here are some links to all the pertinent information along with some videos to get you excited all over again: ZDayZ! Unless you drive balls to the wall D, you will get run over out there from the sounds of it.
So my Driving Miss Daisy a$$ surely would not make it. |

You've got maybe a couple hours a day on the weekends where it opens up enough to really get on it. So, as long as you aren't out there early in the am, chances are you'll be doing 15mph behind a couple of Harley's. You may still have a whiny passenger complaining you are still going too fast though. |
I'm going to try and make it this year but with these gas prices its not looking good. Two years ago when I went with you guys gas for the trip cost more then my nights in the room/cabin.

Got our cabin booked a couple weeks back, super excited first time going. Cant wait to meet a lot of you. I am going to try and book some time before at Z1, or leave the car with them on the way home for a possible motor build (funds at the time need to be present haha).
