LOL @ "Epic blizzards" - so true...

Thanks for the input man!
No problem dude. I'm pretty much in the same situation as you. I live in the area and DD my Z. I drove the Z on my Continental DWS all seasons the one day it snowed here last winter and had no issues. As long as you drive slowly and of course leave VDC on you should be fine. Of course I bought my tires more to maximize performance in the dry weather rather than be safe in the winter (wider and lower profile than stock), but they still worked ok. Will have to wait and see how they do in heavier snow.

I'll be driving the S2000 in the snow and ice, if it should occur...

I couldnt imagine trying to drive the Z in that kinda weather, I would definitely say slow & steady, and if you happen to lose control, pull the ebrake.

I don't know why you think the s2k will be much better than the Z in the snow

That doesn't mean anything. S2K w/ summer tires will suck just as much as the Z with summer rubber in the snow!

That's the worst idea, so you prefer to back into things instead of hitting it with your front bumper?

If the ABS is freaking out due to packed snow/ice then it is actually a really good idea [to pull the e-brake]. Quickest stop in those conditions is with wheels locked, so provided your are going straight and the speed is low it is highly effective. It has saved my *** from a certain crash more than once, especially in downhill when the rear gets light.

That is if you are going slow enough to not lose control of the backend.

With more drag in the rear than the front the rear rarely steps out unless turning, but yes, this is a 30 mph or slower evasive maneuver not something I would recommend at higher speed.

Perfect pavement and perfect condition, yes. Snow and ice while you are losing control, pulling e-brake should be used as the last resort, not the first move.

I'd feel much more confident in the S2000 than a 370Z.. just saying.

I'd feel more confident in the 370Z because there's more stuff around me to help out in a crash.
