Actually it's probably going to have to be the weekend after this one because D&V needs the car a little longer than we thought they would since they had to special order the wheel powder I want.
Edit: Also, the guys at Daedalus are on vacation right now and won't be back in town until Fri and I need to work out final pricing/details with them. They have my swap set right now and took some measurements before they left.

Nothing. Just moving the timeline back a bit because the powder job is taking longer than I thought. I won't be able to get with Daedalus until next week some time.

After a good hurricane hitting the area, it would be a perfect opportunity to check your headlights for condensation.

If you leave your car out in a hurricane you are a crazy person.
Anyway, D&V still has the car. Figure Finishing didn't return Kevin's call today so I'm still in car limbo. Talked to the guys at Daedalus and they have already broken down the salvage lights. The only bad news they have so far is that the black housing on one of the lights is trashed (I already knew that). The clear plastic housings are fine as are the lenses, reflectors and the rest of the innards are fine. Anyway, they're ready to go as soon as I get the car back. They have my halos in too. Decided to go the single halo route. Apparently, the ones they are using are some new flexible ultrabright gapless halo kit rated for ~35k hours or something. They don't look like BMW lights at all which is what I was trying to avoid. With a little luck I should have the car back from Sterling tomorrow/thurs and then the headlight project begins. Edit: Ironically, I could have shipped the wheels to Mike and had them back by now and at this point the price is a wash.

Well it looks like one of my headlights may be out. Noticed when I got out of my car this morning that it wasn't working. It was the one that had all the condensation in it. I'm hoping it will work if I can suck all the condensation out of it. Parking light was working fine, just the main headlight bulb was out.

Sounds good.
Dee are you gonna be working on your lights again? Need to find some time/place to work on mine. Maybe I can do it at Bobo's place since we have some other work we need to do to my car. |
