But gas prices are too high.

If you do a decent job, it won't be as noticeable. Even my plasti dipped door handles looked good

I've had mine for just about two years now and they show no signs of fading or wear so far. They look like they came from the factory that way.

They do the full painting process: Wet sand, prime, paint, paint again, clearcoat, bake. Should last just as long as any of your other factory paint lasts.

Paint blending is not my forte and I wouldn't trust anyone other than a professional shop to make it look like what I ended up with. Not like they charged me a fortune to do it.
