I can just see it now. EW spending all day at BWW while everyone gets their mods actually done. Then he'll just be left with a can of spray paint sitting in his garage collecting dust for months.

Talked to the service manager guy today and he said I "should be able to use the heat gun". Thinking it's not a big deal so I should be able to bring it for both weekends. If it doesn't work out at the last minute, I'll just swing by home depot and buy one.

This. This right here is what I want the headlights on my car to look like - the black Z in this picture. Do I need anything else to make this happen other than what we have planned? (not counting the LEDs of course)

We should have everything we need as long as people bring everything that they said they were gonna bring. We should be good to go. That heat gun is gonna make life sooo much easier.

Yeah I was amazed at how quickly it zapped my front emblem off on my '09. You have to be super careful though. It will melt paint/plastic/your face if you aren't good with it.

Using a heat gun, Its just like shrinking window tint prior to you actually laying the tint on the window. You use 2 to 3 second bursts of heat, then you pull away. If you go any longer than that, you can burn/mess up sh1t.
