VA Beach/Hampton Roads

Anyone live in the area? Just moved here in the past few months, haven't seen many 370's on the road.

Like Jon pointed out we also do C & C Williamsburg every 3rd Saturday of the month (See sticky thread) with is run by Darkpath, BeachZTT and myself.

It's been awhile since I started this thread, just wanted to bump it and see if there were any new people around. It's lonely down here haha

My family is there, so I come down from NOVA for Autox about once a month.

Onelownismo 03-07-2013 02:47 PM

to pungo? I've been auto-xing at RIR and VMP

cossie1600 03-07-2013 03:51 PM

I think they are leaving Pungo. I did a one event in 11 and 12. The people were nice (like most in the area), but I found the course to be on the un-engaging side. I understand they were limited by the lot, but I still think they could have designed a more engaging course. From what I heard, they are moving to another lot this year.

I really hope so, that was the one thing preventing me from racing with them

They like to "maximize" run time by running two laps or having to use the same part twice in a run. Here is the problem. They put the crossover near the end of the course, which means you really don't get to send two cars. You really sit around and do nothing for half a day. As much as I like the people and the location, I couldn't stand what they were doing at Pungo in the two times I was there.

This is the second time I ran there. First course was so-so, this one was flat out horrible. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nAgpAUxTCF4

Hey bro. I just recently became a member here after picking up my Z last weekend. I had the same trouble on the Acura forums trying to get people to be social down here in the beach. You would think everyone would want to do things like this but its exactly the opposite. People are so anti-social here. Explains why I've only just begun to make some friends down here after 5 years!!!

Anywho... I live in the Virginia Beach area and always looking to do something, if not just getting coffee and staring at my own car.

Also, this Saturday, bright and early, I'm meeting up with a couple of Acurazine guys (which was my other home) and heading out to Richmond for C&C. Meeting up in Hampton at 6:30am and we are all caravanning together. If you'd like to join you are more than welcome. The more the better. And better not to be the only Z. :) Let me know and I'll send you the address.
